Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Sneak Peek and a FLASH Ordering Special!

Good morning and Happy Hawwmp Online Extravaganza Day!  That’s right – Online Extravaganza is underway with some great deals.  AND – my Double Peppermints Ordering Special is also going on.  PLUS – if you read on, you’ll see a fun FLASH ORDERING SPECIAL from me that might let you score some brand spanking new 2020 January-June Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Flyer goodies!  Whoo-hoo!!

I promised in my video yesterday a sneak peek of the new and wonderful Forever Blossoms stamp set and bundled Cherry Blossom Dies.  So – that’s what I’ve got – plus a few other elements that you’ll find in the new Parisian Blossoms Suite.  Take a look-see:

This is sorta-CASE of the Make-And-Take card that we did on Saturday at Onstage.

A lot of similar elements but I shooshed it up a bit!

I started with a Petal Pink card base and built the card front right on it.  First of all, I embossed a Petal Pink panel in the new Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder (available on 3 Jan 20) and then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.  This is a great way to get an embossed “card base front” without stretching the base out of whack!

The next layer is a Basic Black-matted piece of the new Parisian Blossom Specialty DSP (also coming on 3 Jan 20), adhered with Liquid Glue on a bit of an angle.

When I first saw the make-and-take picture, I thought the flowers were embossed on Vellum card stock.  They weren’t – but…mine are!  I cut the Vellum card stock panel and inked up the large-and-lovely flower image in the Forever Blossoms stamp set (avail 3 Jan 20) in Versamark Ink and stamped it twice on the panel.  Then I sprinkled White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

I colored the flowers with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker and the leaves with my Mossy Meadow Marker.  Once it was dry, I used Glue Dots under the embossed areas (and up in the corner where I planned to add a Rhinestone) to adhere it to a same-size piece of the Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP.  Then I matted it on Basic Black and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used some Glue Dots to adhere a length of Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon across the panel (coming on 3 Jan 20).

For the sentiment, I stamped the Forever Blossoms sentiment in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the Timeless Label Punch.  I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut three Mossy Meadow leaves with the cutting-and-embossing leaves dies in the bundled Cherry Blossoms die.  Then I stamped a small Forever Blossoms flower in Smoky Slate on Whisper White and colored it with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Combo.  I cut it out with the matching Cherry Blossoms Die.

I adhered the leaves to the back of the flower with Liquid Glue then used a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional and Liquid Glue to adhere the flower to the sentiment. I added some new Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels (part of the suite and available on 3 Jan 20) and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added a second Forever Blossoms sentiment in Basic Gray on a Whisper White panel.  Across the bottom, I stamped the large flower twice in Smoky Slate and colored just the flowers with my Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend.  I added a Champagne Rhinestone (I LOVE these!!).

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my card base – and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Smoky Slate Forever Blossoms flowers on the front…

…and more of the gorgeous Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I have a terrible suspicion that with every sneak peek of the new catalog that I bring I’ll be saying “This is my favorite new set in the catalog”. 🙁  I’m sure glad I have my discount, cuz…I have a TON of faves.  And THIS Parisian Blossom Suite with its Forever Blossoms Bundle and Parisian Beauty Bundle, plus the spectacular Parisian Blossom Specialty DSP…is right up at the TOP of that favorites list!  I hope you like – AND are adding it to your Must-Have list!

Also – hint…read about my Flash Sale.  YOU might be able to get this Forever Blossoms Bundle WAY quicker than you thought! 😉

Finn Fan Fix

We had an Octopus Incident the other day.

In which, in the blink of an eye, Mr. Octopus became Mr. Heptapus.

That’s right – we tranformed him from an Octa to a Hepta.

And by “we” I mean…yep.  The Man.

So…it was off to the surgery center (fortunately I found the incident digit and was able to put it on ice).

Loving all his children equally, Finn watched anxiously (same as with Mr. Reindeer.  It’s kind of a repeating event, it seems).

Octopus legs are a little trickier to repair than reindeer guts.

Finn became concerned at how long the surgery was taking and attempted to hurry Dr. Wayne…

Hurry!!

Surgery done!  We’re outta here!  He tried to pluck Mr. Octopus right off the surgery table!

Okay – let’s get to the house, people!  I got some more destuctin’ to do!

  1. Such a pretty card! Love that stamp set and the pretty designer paper! Poor Mr Octopus…sorry that he’s suffering the same fate as Mr Reindeer. Hope that the surgery was effective! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

This surgery was effective – and I hope all the future ones (and there WILL be future ones, I am quite sure) will be as well! Thanks so much, Amy – this suite is gorgeous! 🙂

  2. Val P

Your cards are lovely. Thanks for the chance to win!

  3. The mishap was bound to happen…but there was no mishap on your card!

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – Mr. Octo might as well resign himself to some time as Mr. Hepta here and there! Thank you, Karen!:)

    • Dee Winslow

Enjoy all the details that go into your Post and the glimpse inside your shenanigans on the farm. You really got me looking forward to the new book come January. Love the embossing folder.

      • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Dee! We do get around over here! Shenanigans, indeed! It’s an awesome catalog and I’m excited for you to get it! 🙂

  4. Susan K

I love the white flowers on vellum! So pretty. Great CASE of the make-n-take card. I’m all for shooshisizing!
Glad Mr Octopus survived that surgery! That’s a serious sewing machine Dr Wayne has. Bet he bought it for just those kind of delicate reattachments. 🤓

    • stampsnlingers

Well – it’s a LITTLE like taking a nuke to a knife fight, but…it’s sewn some mangled body parts on pretty well! Thank you so much, Susan – for the nice words AND the NEW word. Shooshisizing! Love it!

  5. Susan Stetina

Can’t wait for the new catalog to come out. I’m already starting a “want” list!
I have an order to place. Should I use the host code above or the November online host club code?

    • stampsnlingers

Best have TWO pages ready – it’s AWESOME!! Thanks Susan – I sent you an e-mail about the host code to use! 😉

  6. Debbie Lindauer

Your card is beautiful. Cant wait to see the new catalogue.

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you so much, Debbie – you’re going to love it! 🙂

  7. Susan Heine

Parisian style has long been a favorite of mine….and so often I pair the soft pinks with a black accent…like the mat on 2 rectangles of ParisianBlossom Specialty DSP. LOVIN’ the new Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder. Champagne bling? Too perfect !! This card is my new favorite and I do plan to use the idea for cards for women who have survived Human Trafficking…..it is lovely and elegant, very feminine and pretty……the type of card that will make the recipient feel cared for.

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you so much, Susan! I’m tickled that you like it – and that you’ll use the idea for women who have survived terrible-ness. 🙂

  8. Faith Simpson

I just have to laugh at Finn and his concern for his well-loved toys….Wayne is a good ‘fixer’.
This card is beyond….well, beyond all the good words I can think of!! wow…..Yep….makes me want everything it takes to make it!!

    • stampsnlingers

Oh that is so sweet, Faith. Thank you so much for those nice words! And yes, he’s a concerned and highly involved parent! 😉

  9. Karen L

OH NO, Octopus down!! Sure glad you have a resident “Dr.” on call…….and with quite a “fixer-upper machine”. WOW!! Great looking card & can hardly wait to see what SU has in their up-coming catalogs. Thanks for some great ideas.

    • stampsnlingers

It’s a LITTLE more than he needs – but if we have to get “tougher” toys – it’ll still be able to handle them! Thank you so much, Karen – and yes, I’m excited for you to see the catalogs. They’re pretty awesome! 🙂

  10. Kathy Fennell

Beautiful card Mary! I must say that this bundle really wasn’t on my list of any of the new product that I have seen “but” I may have to change my mind! 🙂 Sure glad you have Dr. Wayne to put Finns little buddies back together and they don’t suffer the same fate as Humpty Dumpty did! 🙂 Have a good day my friend!

    • stampsnlingers

I think you DO need to change your mind, Kathy – it’s gorgeous paper in a wonderful bundle!! And yes – it’s a good think Dr. Wayne is multi-species qualified, isn’t it?! Thank you so much!! 🙂

  11. Mary everyone has said it all about your card so I will just say “ditto” got that from Rush many years ago. I want to know about Wayne’s sewing machine, what all can it sew. Do I need one to add to my collection. I do have 6 now, but not one that looks like that. I might need to upholster a chair or seat cover for the suburban.
It was so sweet Finn standing there just like an anxious parent waiting for their child. 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Hey Shirley – thanks for the kind words! That’s an industrial machine – does shoe, harness, tack repair. And fixes toys, too! It takes up a lot of space and is not even sort of “automated” or “computerized”! But it does the job very very well! And yes – Finn is certainly an attentive parent. And happens to look super cute while he’s at it! 🙂
