Stampin’ Up! Christmastime is Here And So Is the Paper Trimmer!!

Happy Friday, y’all!!  And – more to the point! – happy First of November!! So – I mentioned the Christmastime is Here Suite….that’s what I used to create today’s Christmas card.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from this week’s Fab Friday Challenge!

I started with a rose-strewn piece of the gorgeous Christmastime is Here Specialty DSP and matted it on Mossy Meadow.  Then I took another smaller piece, matted IT on Mossy Meadow and adhered it with Liquid Glue to create the card front.

I used the die in the Roses Die set (bundled with the Christmas Roses stamp set) to cut a Mossy Meadow lattice, which I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

One VERY cool feature of the Roses Die set is that the largest die actually cuts out a ginormously beautiful rose image from one of the designs in the Christmastime is Here Specialty DSP.  Which is what I did!

With Glue Dots, I looped some of the pretty Gold 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon a few times – then I popped the big die-cut rose over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Christmas Rose sentiment in Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink on Whisper White and cut it out with a die in the Roses Die set.  Then I used Liquid Glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it over the roses.

I fussy cut a smaller two-rose image from the DSP and adhered it with Liquid Glue and Dimensionals to the sentiment.

Finally, I added a small bow from the Gold 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon with a Glue Dot, and a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots here and there – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Christmas Rose sentiment in Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink.  Next to it, using one of the fill-images in the set – but only inking a single pine bough – I added a couple of Mossy Meadow boughs.  And then a couple of Soft Suede pinecones.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into my Cherry Cobbler card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the pine boughs and cones on the front…

…and a little more of the gold-embellished Christmastime is Here Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et voila!  Y’all – the Christmas Rose set and bundled Rose Dies are….gorgeous!  And the Paper.  THE PAPER!!  I am seriously in love with this Christmastime is Here Suite of goodies – and I KNOW you’re going to want it for your Christmas projects!  I mean….Roses.  Pine boughs.  Pine Cones.  Dies that cut the images from the DSP.  What’s not to love?!?  I hope you like!
