Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Frosted and Framed Foliage!

Happy happy HAAWWWWMP DAY!!  And also Halloween-eve!  Hope all the ghoulies and ghosties are ready for some safe and fun trick-or-treating tomorrow!

My card today is about as NOT-Halloween as it’s possible to get!  I used the gorgeous Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP and the coordinating Frosted Foliage Bundle to make a cool and frosty Christmas card.  Take a look-see:

Both the layout and the color scheme came from this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge – although I had to improvise a bit to use current colors!

I started with a piece of beautiful paper from the Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP, matted on Seaside Spray for the card front.

Next up is the big die cut frame piece from the Frosted Frames Die set (bundled with the Frosted Foliage stamp set!), cut in Seaside Spray and adhered with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Frosted Foliage sentiment in Pretty Peacock on Whisper White and cut it with the die in the Frosted Frame set.  I adhered it to the Seaside Spray mat with Liquid Glue.

With the other dies in the set, I cut some Silver Foil and Silver Glimmer Paper snowflakes and some Rose Glimmer Paper leaves.  I adhered them around the frame with Liquid Glue.

To finish off, I added Pretty Peacock gems from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones Pack to the snowflakes.  And a small bow tied with Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon, adhered with a Glue Dot.  And that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Frosted Foliage in Pretty Peacock on a Whisper White panel.  Over the top, I added some snowflakes in Silvery Shimmer Delicata Metallic Ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Seaside Spray mat and into my Pretty Peacock card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Silvery Shimmer snowflakes on the front…

…and a little more Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  While I love traditionally colored Christmas cards, I have to say I really like how beautiful the Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP is with the Frosted Foliage Bundle as Christmas cards!!  So frosty and cool – just says winter and Christmas to me!  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

As I typed this post on Tuesday evening, it was National Cat Day.

With the approval of The Man, I’ll give Katy a moment in the spotlight.

Snuggled in her soft snuggle bed, sound asleep on my hand.

Too stinkin’ sweet. 🙂
