Happy Friday, y’all! Hope you had a great week!
My card today is a another little sneaky peek at the coming-soon Christmastime is Here Suite (you’ll be able to get it on 1 Nov!) – and I paired it with some Beautiful Boughs Die cuts. Take a look-see:
My layout is from this week’s Sketch Saturday challenge.
I started with a piece of the Christmastime is Here DSP and adhered a smaller piece – with the pinecones! – at the bottom with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Cherry Cobbler, I stamped the sentiment from Christmastime is Here in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder and heat embossed it with my Heat Tool. Then I cut it with the Christmastime is Here Die. I used my Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker to add some faux stitches.
Next up – die cutting time! First I used the lattice die in the Christmastime is Here Die set to cut two pieces in Early Espresso. I used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front – trimming the excess with my Paper Trimmer (Oh – hey!! YOU can get the new Paper Trimmer on 1 Nov!!). Then I matted the panel onto a Cherry Cobbler mat to make the card front.
I pulled out the Beautiful Boughs Die set and cut some boughs in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive, a couple of solid pine cones in Early Espresso and some detailed pine cones in Gold Foil. And a little flourish in Gold Foil.
I did a little dry-fitting and then adhered the pine boughs – with the pine cones nestled in and amongst them – with Liquid Glue. Then I used Liquid Glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals (at the bottom) to adhere my sentiment. With Liquid Glue, I tucked the Gold Foil flourish under the bottom of the sentiment.
I tied a double-loop bow with Mossy Meadow Linen Thread – using only two wraps for each loop – and adhered it with some Liquid Glue at the bottom of the sentiment.
I added some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots in the top corner of the card front and nestled a few around the pine boughs, and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second Christmastime is Here sentiment in Cherry Cobbler to the middle of a Whisper White panel. Then, with the pine bough “fill” image in the stamp set, I added some Mossy Meadow boughs at the top and bottom corners. I gave the arrangement a few Early Espresso pine cones, too.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and into my Old Olive card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Christmastime is Here pine boughs and cones on the front…
…and more of the pine cone Christmastime is Here DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Christmas Roses and pines – the makings of a perfect Christmas arrangement – all in the Christmastime is Here Suite! What a wonderful combination – and the Beautiful Boughs Dies just bring it all together! I hope you like!

So – rather than risk mail fraud, I called the legal recipient over.
My mom taught me to always read the card first…
Finn was excited!
Then we dug in – and the first thing we found was….AN OCTOPUS!!
After a few squeaks for fun, we kept looking.
Cookies! From The Hungry Hound Barkery in Sommerville, NJ!
I dug the bags out and let the Man inspect them…
I asked him if he thought he might want a cookie and, being his Mother’s son, he said….DUH!
And then – it was all too much. The excitement – and the smell of cookies! – got the best of him!
He hurried out to the living room to savor the yumminess!
I swear he was sucking on the frosting trying to make it last!! 😉
When he finished, he snatched up the octopus for a little play and a snuggle!
Thank you, Thank you, Miss Karen!! (we teach our Southern dogs to be respectful!)
