Stampin’ Up! Stamptember and Six Wrapped in Plaid Pine Trees

Mornin’, y’all!  Hope you had a great weekend!  I sure did!

Saturday was a great event down in Middle Georgia, called Stamptember.  There were a LOT of people there – including Tanner Smedley – our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Development Manager for the SE region!

He spoke for a little while, giving us a little insight into some new goodies coming down the pike from Stampin’ Up!

Later – at dinner, someone accidently mentioned to the staff that it was his 21st birthday.

It was not… but… 😉

We also had a couple of good talks from superstars Wendy Cranford and Brian King.  They were funny – AND insightful!

Yes – even BRIAN! 😉

There were also door prizes and goodies in our gift bags!  We all got a pack of Wrapped in Plaid DSP, some Jingle Bells, a pack of Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Stampin’ Dimensionals, and chocolate! 🙂

AND – we made cards!  SIX of them!  Whoo-hooo!

Today I’m going to share one of the cards we made (it’s a super cute design from the event organizer, Sandra Hernandez, and her team!) – using the Wrapped in Plaid DSP and the Perfectly Plaid bundle!  Take a look-see:

The card pieces were already cut for us and we had a little tub with the: Perfectly Plaid stamps; Pine Tree, Twinkle Builder and Triple Banner Punches; and Linen Thread.  Our table worked together and each cut six Pine Trees from one of our Wrapped in Plaid DSP papers and shared them (we thought we were ever-so-clever to save that gorgeous plaid paper!).

The Shaded Spruce panel is popped onto the Cherry Cobbler card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To adhere the trees, we popped the top middle and bottom end trees on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and I used Liquid Glue to adhere the other three.

The sentiment, from Perfectly Plaid, is stamped in Shaded Green on a strip of Whisper White.  We used the Triple Banner Punch to cut the ends, then I used Liquid Glue and Dimensionals to adhere the banner over the trees.

We used a length of Linen Thread to tie a bow thru one of our Jingle Bells and then adhered it with a Glue Dot.

The Twinkle Builder Punch yielded some Gold Foil stars, that we adhered across one of the trees with Liquid Glue.

I added a Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewel to finish off the card front.

On the inside, we stamped the Perfectly Plaid tree in Shaded Spruce on a Whisper White panel.  I added another Twinkle Builder Gold Foil star, too!

We adhered the panel into our Cherry Cobbler card base – and that was it!

When I got home, I stamped the Shaded Spruce tree on the front of a Whisper White Medium Envelope (#nonekkidenvelopes)…

…and I added a little more Wrapped in Plaid DSP to the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  I’ll share the other five cards with you in the near future – they’re really pretty! – but…this one with the six Perfectly Plaid Pine Trees really hit the sweet spot for me!  Thanks, Sandra – and all the ladies down there in Middle GA, for a great day!  I hope you like!

How many of you passed?? 😉

Do not lie to a dog with an L-F-Ant.

That’s how Finn says Mr. Elephant.  Mister L-F-Ant! 😉
