Stampin’ Up! Gather Together a Monster Bash for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Halloween Fun!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided to do a Fall-ish Halloween card – sort of “serious” and sort of “fun”.  So…I pulled out the Gather Together and Spooktacular Bash Bundles – plus some Monster Bash DSP.  Take a look-see:

I started with some Crushed Curry paper from the Monster Bash DSP that I matted on Cajun Craze for the card front.

With the Gathered Leaves Dies from the Gather Together Bundle, I cut several leaves from Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie card stock.  Tip:  use a Stampin’ Spritzer to dampen the card stock before cutting the leaves.  The dies will be able to do their embossing much better that way.  And – when you take the cut and embossed leaves out of the dies, you can gently curl them with your fingers!  Perfect Fall leaves!

I used the Gather Together stamps to stamp the two pumpkin images in Cajun Craze on Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  Then I fussy cut them (versus using the dies because I wanted no-border pumpkins!).  I colored them with my Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie and Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends.

For the little ghouls – I just fussy cut a couple of likely spook-ies from the Monster Bash DSP.

Using Liquid Glue, I built up the collage with leaves, pumpkins and ghoulies!

I stamped the Spooktacular Bash sentiment in Cajun Craze on Whisper White and cut it with an Ornate Frames Die.  Then I popped it on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used two lengths of Cajun Craze Linen Thread from the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo Pack to tie a simple bow, which I adhered with a dab of Liquid Glue.  A few Pumpkin Pie rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels finished off the card front!

On the inside, I used my Stamparatus to add a second Spooktacular Bash sentiment in Cajun Craze on Whisper White.  I stuck a Pumpkin Pie Rhinestone next to the sentiment.  I also added a few pumpkins from Gather Together in Cajun Craze – coloring them with the Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cajun Craze panel and into my Pumpkin Pie card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Gather Together pumpkins on the front…

…and more of the Monster Bash DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This particular Monster Bash DSP – and those little ghoulies – look like something Mr. Disney would put in the Haunted Mansion, don’t you think?  And I can just see them in the courtyard outside the ride, surrounded by Fall-inspired Gathered Leaves and Gather Together pumpkins!  With the addition of the Spooktacular Bash sentiments…we’ve got a fun Fall scene for Halloween!  I hope you like!
