Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek!

Hey ya’ll – well, it’s Friday again!  Looking forward to a weekend.

Will this be the LAST weekend I look forward to?  Since…by this time next week I’ll be mere hours away from being retired?

A good friend told me that – even though she’s retired – she still works during the week – and uses the weekends for chores and fun.

Will I do that?

I don’t know – it doesn’t seem to be the way to alleviate the “Sunday evening blues”, now does it?  I think I want to get to the point where I have to look at my watch to see what day of the week it is!

I guess we’ll see which way it ends up, won’t we?  In the meantime…HAPPY FRIDAY! 🙂

I thought this would be a super good day to bring you some looks at the 2019 Holiday Catalog.  🙂

Now – sorry! – I can’t actually show you pictures of the INSIDE of the catalog.  But I CAN share some pictures of the SAMPLES that are inside the catalog.  So…close! 😉

I thought what I’d do is start with some bundles and suites – there are 25 Bundles (stamp set and dies/punch sets) in this catalog.  Those are wonderful cuz you get a quick 10% savings right off the top!  That means there’s a lot to look at – so….we’ll do about half today and the rest tomorrow!

First up – we’ve got the Toile Tidings Suite – which includes some beautiful DSP and wrapping paper (yes – thinner and 2′ x 3′ in size!).  There are two bundles in this suite: The Toile Christmas Bundle and the Tidings All Around Bundle.

The Tidings All Around Bundle includes the All-Around Wreath Dies – which also coordinates with a Fall-ish stamp set called Seasonal Wreaths.

Next up – we’ve got the So Many Stars Bundle with the So Many Stars Stamp set and Stitched Stars Dies!

I HATE plaid!

Said no one….EVER!

I love plaid and I LOVE the Wrapped in Plaid Suite (and so will you!).  The Designer Series Paper is a handy 6″ x 6″ and has plaid on one side and not-plaid-Christmas-themed designs on the other!  The Perfectly Plaid Bundle includes the stamp set by the same name and the most wunnermus new Pine Tree Punch!

There’s another bundle in that suite called…Peaceful Boughs.  Oh.  My.  Goodness.  You KNOW how I feel about pine trees/boughs/cones!  The Peaceful Boughs stamp set works perfectly with the bundled Beautiful Boughs Dies!

If you liked the Curvy Keepsake Framelits from the past – hang on to your socks!  The Let It Snow Suite includes the Snowman Season Bundle…

…and the Tiny Keepsakes Bundle – with a stamp set and the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies (unlike the previous set – you’ll only have to cut a single piece to create the box – not two!).

The Night Before Christmas Suite includes the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set and bundled Jolly Season Dies.  And this suite has the super-cool Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card Pack and coordinating Cards & Envelopes (see them in that second picture?)!

One Moose.  Two Mooses….moosies?  Regardless…check out the Merry Moose Bundle with a MERRY MOOSE PUNCH!!!

Here’s the Shine Bright Bundle – with beautiful stars and the Stitched Brightly Dies!

If you’re a fan of non-traditional Christmas colors – think blues and coppers – you’re going to be head-over for the Brightly Gleaming Suite!  With its Christmas Gleaming and bundled Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack (yep – TWO punches in the pack) – you’ll be all set!

Now.  Here’s a new bundle that has a really innovative stamp design – that I can’t wait to get my hands on!  The Cup of Christmas stamp set is a photopolymer set with TWO-SIDED stamps!  Stamp one side…

…clean it off and turn it over (as in upside down!) on your block…

…and ink/stamp the reverse image!

Then cut the images with the matching Cup of Cheer Dies!  Cool beans!

The Feels Like Frost Suite is next up and it is smack-your-lips gorgeous!  The Frosted Foliage stamp set and bundled Frosted Frames Dies will coordinate amazeballsingly with the Feels Like Frost 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP – the card front on this first sample is just one of the beautiful designs in the pack!

Okay – I think that’s a good stopping place for now!  We’ll hit the rest of the bundles/suites and a few odds-and-ends tomorrow!

In the meantime – be sure YOU are on my list to receive a 2019 Holiday Catalog!  I’ll be ordering them next week and then mailing them out quick a I can get them!  If you’ve ordered from me in the past year (or you’re a member of my Host Club!) – you’re good to go!  If not – head over to my Online Store and place at least a $50 order (which will also have the added bennie of earning you a $5 Bonus Days coupon code to spend in August!) and assure your spot on my Mailing List!

Hope you liked the little look-see….hold tight for the rest tomorrow! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

Finn likes to hang with his dad in the shop on nice cool-ish summer days like we’ve had.

Chillaxin….

…or is he guarding??

What is that???  Do you see it??

Wayne and I never saw a thing.

That’s how “they” get you, you know.

Thank goodness he was there to warn the boogers away!

  1. So many awesome things coming in the catalog!! Good think that Finn was there to make sure that “they” didn’t get you guys…he is a busy little man! 😉

    • stampsnlingers

      I know. We’re very protected – and LUCKY!! 🙂 Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. Jennifer Neis

Congrats on your retirement! When you retire….everyday is Saturday!!

  3. Denise Melia

Congrats on your retirement Many! I couldn’t wait to retire, danced out the door doing the happy dance!
    Happy thoughts coming your way!

    • stampsnlingers

I don’t know that I’ll be dancing – but…I’ll be doing something this time next week, for sure! Thanks so much, Denise! 🙂

  4. Linda

I missed the part about you retiring! Does that mean you will no longer be sharing daily projects on your blog? I’ll miss checking it out daily, if that is so, but I guess that day comes for all of us.

    • stampsnlingers

Nope – will still be doing SU! – just leaving my “real” job! Will now be SU! full-time! Thanks, Linda! 🙂

  5. Mary Laffin

Retirement is great. And the best thing is not needing to set an alarm before bed and waking up whenever. I believe the best part really is not knowing–or caring–what day it is. I just hope you can cope without packing all your stuff up and setting up a stamp area in various hotels!

Just take it easy relax and don’t take on any new projects for the first 6-12 months.

    Enjoy!

    Mary

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – although…maybe I should open a Travelling-Demonstrator Consulting Business!! 😉 I DID get sort of good at it! I like the no-projects for 6-12 months, idea, too. Very good advice, indeed! Thank you, Mary! 🙂

  6. Carol A Swedlund

I’ve been retired for five years now and don’t get the Sunday evening blues, but maybe that’s partly because I try not to schedule anything Monday during the day. I try to stay home on Monday – I don’t go to doctor appointments, Bible study or any shopping if I can possibly help it. (However, the evening stamp club is OK!) It feels too much like starting a work week if I go anywhere on Monday! That’s possibly weird but it works for me. You will have fun establishing your own retirement rhythm!

    • stampsnlingers

Good idea, Carol! Might implement parts of that! As you say – I’ll get it figured out, right? And I guess we’ll see how long it takes me! 🙂 Thanks! 🙂
