Stampin’ Up! Big Plans Kindness for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s Hop is a Sketch challenge and I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with –  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop.

Okay – my card today uses no ink.

Yes – I said it.  NO.  INK.  So…no inky fingers!  All you need for this one is some adhesive (including – OF COURSE!! – Stampin’ Dimensionals), a little card stock AND….drum roll – the awesome and wonderful Big Plans Memories & More Card Pack!  Take a look-see:

Our sketch…yes, I got a little jiggy with it!

You guys – I absolutely LOVE this card pack.  I usually like a few cards in any particular pack – maybe even a bunch.  But..THIS one?  Wow.  There are so many panels in this one that can go together in this exact layout.  I’ve got it in my head to make a stack of them and a card box to put them in.  You’ll want to watch for that – cuz…it’s coming really soon.  I can feel it.

Now – buckle up, buttercup – this won’t take a hot sec to tell you how to make this one for yourself!

I started with one of the larger panels in the Big Plans Memories & More Card Pack and trimmed it down just a smidge, then matted it on Pineapple Punch for the card front.

Then I took two more coordinating panels, trimmed them down a smidge – and matted THEM on Pineapple Punch.  I adhered the bottom panel at an angle with Liquid Glue.

The second panel is popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I took one of the pretty floral stickers in the pack and stuck it on the corner with more Dimensionals.

I tied a little Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot and…yep.  Card front….DONE!

THAT was easy….

On the inside, I adhered a few more stickers to a Whisper White panel.  I liked how the sentiment ended with a little “definition” around it, don’t you?  Didn’t even need a Stampin’ Write Marker!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pineapple Punch mat and into my Basic Gray card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

All my Whisper White Medium Envelope needed was another sticker on the front…

…and on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Done done and done!  How quick and easy was that??  Y’all – GET this Big Plans Memories & More Card Pack.  I have no idea if it’ll carry over or not, but it would be a gosh darned shame for you to miss out on all this card making goodness!  Hope you like!

Change It Is A Coming!

There’s lots in store for us from Stampin’ UP! as we move into the next year!  I shared all the details with you guys on this blog post.  Give it a read!  Here’s a link to the post with all the information.  As always – if you have any questions, give me shout!

Stampin’ Trimmer Discontinuation

Stampin’ Up! will be retiring the Stampin’ Trimmer as of 3 June 2019, including all accessories—replacement cutting blades, scoring blades, and cutting mats.  As most of you know, they’ve experienced challenges with their supplier and are taking the opportunity to research and explore a replacement option for this product, which won’t be the same as the current Stampin’ Trimmer.  There’ll be a gap in time between when the current Stampin’ Trimmer retires and when a new product becomes available, but they do not currently have an estimated timeframe.

While the replacement cutting blades will also retire with the trimmer and will not be featured in the annual catalog, Stampin’ Up! has ordered what would normally be six months of inventory based on recent historical patterns to help customers during this transition away from the current trimmer.  But please know that this news could cause faster inventory depletion. 😳

  • When the retiring list goes live on 15 April, the order limit for the blades will increase from three to six (and the limit will remain at six until they’re no longer available).
  • From now until September, intermittent shipments of blades will be received from the supplier. Throughout these months, Stampin’ Up! anticipates times when the blades will not be orderable (and not offered as a backorder). During those downtimes, you will have the option to enter an email address to receive notification when the blades are available again.

  1. Jiggy is good!

  2. I love your card Mary, perfect design. That card pack is definitely one of the best ones available…so many good sentiments and pretty images. 🙂

  3. Kate

Swell card! Be fun for New Year…

  4. What a perfectly wonderful card. AND so easy. Wow! Gives me a new appreciation for kits, mostly which I don’t like for various reasons. Maybe I am not creative enough to see the possibilities in them.
