Stampin’ Up! Needlepoint Flowers for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop.

I decided to use the Needle & Thread stamp set with the bundled Needlepoint Elements Framelits for this one – it just made sense to me!  Take a look-see:

Our color challenge is probably pretty obvious…

And I used the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge for my layout!

I started with a piece of Crushed Curry paper from the Regals 6″ x6″ DSP and matted it on Old Olive for the card front.

The art began with a Whisper White panel, and I used the large floral “stitching” die to cut into each corner.  This die is cool – it creates what looks like “quilting”!

Then I matted it on Old Olive and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used Old Olive to add some flowers from the Needle & Thread set to the panel – this is the double-ended stamp (I just used the one end!).

On a separate piece of Whisper White, I used my Stamparatus to stamp some Needle & Thread flowers in Crushed Curry and Berry Burst, then I cut them with their matching dies in the Needlepoint Elements Framelits.

I cut several leaves from Whisper White and Old Olive card stock with the Needlepoint Elements dies.  Then I used Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to create my collage with all my elements!

I stamped the Needle & Thread sentiment in Old Olive on Whisper White, then fussy cut each word.  They’re adhered with Liquid Glue.

I tied a simple bow with two lengths of Whisper White Medium Baker’s Twine and a length of Old Olive Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.  The card front is finished with a few Berry Burst Glitter Enamel Dots.

On the inside, I stamped a second Needle & Thread sentiment in Old Olive on a Whisper White panel. Then I added some Berry Burst butterflies!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Berry Burst card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got some more Needle & Thread butterflies on the front…

…and I added some more Crushed Curry DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This Needle & Threads bundle is such fun to use to build floral collages – especially for folks that love needlepoint and embroidery!  I hope you like!

I have had my eye on this set for a while now…and then someone creates something great and then you just have to buy it!! You did a beautiful job with the color combo. We tend to accumulate so many stamp sets…sometimes you can get away with just the framelits and skip the stamps.
Thank you for sharing while you are away for work!
