Stampin’ Up! Happiness Bloom By Bloom Thank You

Happy Friday, y’all!  I’m in chicken-with-my-head-cut-off mode today.  At some point I have to stop making cards and start PACKING!  No matter how hard I squeeze my eyes shut and shake my head back and forth and pound my fists, tomorrow IS going to come and I WILL have to get in my car and drive down the driveway.  With or withOUT my stuff!

Since I prefer WITH – time to get on the stick, Mare! 😉

I have found that talking to myself doesn’t actually do any good.  But what the heck!

My card today is super simple!  It’s not exactly what I started out to make – that effort just didn’t work for me.  I didn’t like it – so I changed it!  But I DID stick with my Happiness Blooms DSP and the Thank You Thinlits Die, with an assist from the Bloom By Bloom stamp set and Country Floral Dynamic TIEF.  Take a look-see:

This layout comes from the TGIF challenge this week.

I started with a Whisper White panel that I embossed in the Country Floral Dynamic TIEF, then I cut it all the way down to size and matted it on Night of Navy for the card front.

Next up, I matted two strips of Happiness Blooms DSP on Night of Navy and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

For the sentiment, I cut a piece of Whisper White and cut out the sentiment with the Thank You Thinlit Die.  I carefully held onto all the little pieces that created the die cut – I was going to use them later!

Then I cut a piece of the Happiness Blooms DSP the same size as the Whisper White panel and adhered it behind that panel with Liquid Glue.  Then I matted the whole thing on Night of Navy.  I carefully returned the Whisper White “chads” to their spot inside the negative space, adhering them with Liquid Glue.

And – this is where I changed course – I WAS going to have the DSP create the sentiment in the negative space, but…I sort of hated how it looked.  So…short final…go around!

I re-grouped and cut the Thank You Thinlit Die a second time, this time in Night of Navy.  Then I adhered that one inside the negative space with Liquid Glue!

Yep – that was what I wanted!

I added a jaunty Pineapple Punch Happiness Blooms Enamel Dot and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used the Bloom By Bloom set to add Pineapple Punch flowers, with Call Me Clover insides, and some Night of Navy dots to a Whisper White panel.  And I put a Night of Navy Happiness Blooms Enamel Dot inside each flower.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Night of Navy mat and into my Pineapple Punch card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got some Bloom By Bloom flowers and dots on the front (I used my Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker to add the little flower centers)…

..and I added more Happiness Blooms DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Super easy – I love that Thank You Thinlit Die!  And the Happiness Blooms DSP – combined with the pretty flowers in Bloom By Bloom, just makes for the cheeriest card, don’t you think?  I hope you like!
