Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds Friendship

Good morning.  Again!

Yep – this is my second post for the day – if you’re looking for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop post, it’s right here!

I was pleasantly surprised, and really honored, to be asked to be a guest designer this week at CAS(E) This Sketch! 🙂  So this card uses their fun sketch that’s going live today.  I hope you’ll be able to play along with us!

My card for this sketch uses the Beauty Abounds stamp set and the bundled Butterfly Beauty Thinlits.  Take a look-see:

And I looked for a little color help, too, so I picked the pretty color palette from this week’s TGIF Challenge.

And – this makes me think Spring, so…I played along with The Paper Players theme challenge this week!

I started by stamping the large splatter image from Beauty Abounds in Highland Heather on a Whisper White panel.  Then I added the smaller splatter image in So Saffron.

I used my Stamparatus and added the pretty sentiment in Highland Heather, then I matted the panel on So Saffron for the card front.

Using the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits, I cut some Highland Heather, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam butterflies of varying sizes.  I gently curled their wings, then adhered them to the card front – stacking some of the larger butterflies – with Liquid Glue.

Finally, I adhered some Gingham-Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins here and there, and the card front was done!

On the inside, I repeated the Highland Heather and So Saffron splatters on a Whisper White panel.  I added a few Soft Sea Foam stamped butterflies and a couple of die cut Highland Heather butterflies, too.  I finished up with the second sentiment from Beauty Abounds in Highland Heather.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a So Saffron mat and into my Soft Sea Foam card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the Beauty Abounds splatters and butterfly images on the front…

…and on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love love love this set!  The Beauty Abounds stamp set – perfectly bundled with the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits – is simply wonderful – filled with gorgeous images and lovely sentiments!  I hope you like!

It gives me great pleasure to feed my 4-legged children.

The two-legged kind around here can be a little…picky.

The 4-legged ones, particularly the canine kid, not so much…

He never DIVES into his breakfast right away – but when he DOES decide he’s ready, he eats it with single-minded focus.

And great care – moving deliberately around the bowl, picking up kernels here…there…here again…

And – as you might expect – he’s totally adorable while he does it.

So – also as you might expect – out comes the paparazzi…

He eats all HIS dinner – does a quick swing by us to see if WE have anything he might like (well – we ALWAYS have something he might like – so he’s checking to see if THIS is the time he gets to share)…and then..

…just like people…

…a little after brunch snooze.
