Stampin’ Up! Beach Happy Waterfront Double Easel Fun Fold

Morning, y’all.

It’s Monday.

And – NOT a holiday.

‘Nuff said.

If you were able to join us last night for my Facebook Live video, I thank you for spending part of your weekend with me!  If not, but you’d like to see the sorta-but-not-really instant replay – here ’tis!

I made one of my favorite fun folds – the double-easel.  I love this fold cuz it looks hard – and totally isn’t!  For this one, I created a summery scene with the new Beach Happy stamp set.  Take a look-see:

I mentioned in the sneak peek yesterday that I sort of got carried away – I was simply having too much fun making palm trees!

So –  take a gander at the video to see how to do the scoring and folding – basically, this is a regular A2 card made as a portrait tent card – in this case it’s a Mint Macaron card base.

Then, I created the double-easel with a 4″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Pineapple Punch card stock – that I scored at 5 1/4″ and 7 3/4″ along the long side.

I created some “sky” and “water” with Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam paper from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP.  I adhered the Pool Party panel with Liquid Glue.

Then, on the Soft Sea Foam panel, I stamped the beach chair and umbrella image in Crumb Cake – letting the umbrella drop off the top edge.  I added the stripes in Mint Macaron – these are all stamp images from Beach Happy!

Then I adhered that piece to the Pineapple Punch easel.

I pieced the umbrella by stamping the image in Crumb Cake on Pineapple Punch Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP, fussy cut it and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

On a separate piece of Whisper White, I stamped a tree trunk in Crumb Cake and used Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green to add the palm tree top.  The Stamparatus is definitely a must-have for these! Then I fussy cut the whole tree and adhered it with Liquid Glue – letting it extend over the top of the card stock panel.

The sentiment, from Beach Happy, is stamped in Mint Macaron on a piece of Whisper White – then I tore the edges and colored the edge with Granny Apple Green.  I popped it over a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A Tropical Elements flower and small Linen Thread bow finished this piece off.

On the back panel, I added a Whisper White Stitched Shapes oval that I’d stamped with more Beach Happy palm trees and a Pineapple Punch sun from the Waterfront stamp set.  A couple three birds – hand drawn with a Journaling Pen – finished it off.

On the inside, I added another Beach Happy sentiment in Mint Macaron and a palm tree-top to a Whisper White panel. Then I snuggled in another Waterfront sun in Pineapple Punch.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pineapple Punch mat and then into the Mint Macaron card base, adhered the double-easel to the card front with more Liquid Glue, and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Beach Happy trees on the front…

…and some more of the Pineapple Punch DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Watch the video – it’s a lot easier to show than to ‘splain!  And – can you see why I was having so much fun?  I love this fun-fold and these Beach Happy palm trees, don’t you?  I guess I was channeling the ocean for this one – wishing for warmer days!  Hope you like!

I’m so glad that I’m not the only one that sings my sentences and talks to myself when I’m making cards! I am going to try this making this card later on today. Thanks for being so entertaining!
