Stampin’ Up! More Than Words Painted Seasons Sneak Peek

Happy Friday!  Whoo-hoo!  Glad we made it together – and looking forward to (hopefully!) seeing a bunch of you on our Facebook party starting tonight!!  We’ve got a bunch of fun games going on already and you can leave a comment and start getting entered to win some Prize Patrol goodies!

My card today brings you two sneak peeks!  First off is the new Sale-A-Bration Painted Seasons Bundle – with a wonderful image-only stamp set and coordinating Painted Seasons DSP.  These are both available to customers on 15 Feb.  For the sentiment, I went to one of the Sale-A-Bration Coordination goodies (coming on 1 March to customers).  Take a look-see:

The layout is from this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge.

And the color scheme is from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started with a panel of new Painted Seasons DSP and cut it into three equal width strips – then I adhered the strips onto a Melon Mango mat with Liquid Glue for the card front.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the More Than Words (available 1 March) sentiment in Poppy Parade on a same-design piece of Painted Seasons DSP and cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die.  I matted it on a Mango Melody Scalloped Circle and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I inked up the “birthday” in Melon Mambo and then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Grapefruit Grove along the bottom of the stamp, then stamped it on a strip of Whisper White.  I snipped banner ends with my Paper Snips and edged it with my Mango Melody Stampin’ Write Marker.  Then I popped it over the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My Stamparatus went to work again to create the flower and leaves.  I inked the flower by applying the inks with Sponge Daubers – Poppy Parade around the outer edges and Mango Melody in the middle.  Then I blurred the colors with some Grapefruit Grove in between those two colors.  Using the Stamparatus meant I could stamp the image multiple times until I got it “just right”!

I inked and stamped the ferns the same way – using Crushed Curry and Mango Melody.  Then I stamped some Crushed Curry leaves.  I cut everything with the matching dies in the Four Seasons Framelits.

Don’t be confused, okay?  The Painted Seasons bundle is the stamp set and DSP.  And it’s a second-release Sale-A-Bration goody available on 15 Feb.  The Four Seasons Framelits are a SAB Coordination item, available 1 March.  Got it?? 🙂  Check it all out below!

I also pulled out my Wonderful Floral Framelits and cut a few Poppy Parade leaves with my favorite little die!

I adhered all the leaves in an artistic fashion with Liquid Glue.  I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the flower and used them to wind Gold Metallic Thread loops.  Then I popped it over the leaves.

I used my Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker to add some “center” detail to the middle of the flower and brushed the middle with Clear Wink of Stella.  Then I added a small Gold Faceted Gem and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added some Crushed Curry leaves and Grapefruit Grove little…sparkles?…up the side of a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Grapefruit Grove mat and into a Poppy Parade card base and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the Painted Seasons leaves and sparkles on the front…

…and then I added more Painted Seasons DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How.  Freakin’. Gorgeous is this new Painted Seasons stamp set!?!  That flower!  And wait until you see the pine cone and the succulent!  The DSP that coordinates is absolutely wonderful and oh-so-pretty!  Makes my heart happy!  And the new More Than Words stamp set has such wonderful sentiments!  You’re going to want them both.  All!  EVERYTHING!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

True watch face on Thursday.  Pretty warm!  Actually pretty awesome!  All the windows and doors open to air out the winter musty’s!

And this is how Finn enjoys a warm-as-Spring day in February!

Those pesky squirrels!  But he’s got a bead on them – and they’re awfully lucky that there’s a screen between them!

Squirrels live a life of risk and danger!

  10. Lovely card. Not my choice of colors, but you have used them well. Too warm for me! (of course, I WOULD say that when it is only 6 degrees here.)
