Stampin’ Up! Lovely Flowers Are Meant To Be Mine!

Mornin’, my peeps!  Hope your weekend is going well!  Mine started out great – on Friday! – with the arrival of my housekeeper!  She has recovered from her broken knee and been cleared to work by her physician!  I am very happy that she’s better – I mean, broken KNEE! Yikes!  She’s one of the hardest working ladies I know and I know it’s been hard on her being sidelined.  Oh – and I suspect it’s been hurting like crazy!  So – it’s good that she’s recovered as well as she has!

Finny was…beyond ECSTATIC to have her back!  He was gyrating from nose to wiggler for about 30 minutes!

His MOTHER was also beyond ECSTATIC at the prospect of a perfectly clean house – SHE was wiggling from nose to toes on the INSIDE! 😉

My card for today is a quick and easy little number that lets some beautiful All My Love DSP just shine thru!  I added in some sentiments from the Lovely Flowers and Meant To Be sets, plus a few little die cuts.  Take a look-see:

This fun layout is from this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge.

And I played along with the TGIF Challenge, too!

I started by embossing a Whisper White panel in the Climbing Vine TIEF, then matting it on Crumb Cake for the card front.

Next, I cut two Rectangle Stitched Framelits die cuts from two designs of All My Love DSP and adhered them with Liquid Glue at a jaunty (and extremely artistic!) angle on the card front.

I stamped a sentiment from the Meant To Be stamp set in Crumb Cake on Whisper White and cut it with another Rectangle Stitched Framelits die.

Then, using a pretty die in the Be Mine Stitched Framelits, I cut a Whisper White heart.

I intertwined the heart and the sentiment banner and adhered them with a little Liquid Glue, then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the combined shapes onto the card front.

I cut a few little Flirty Flamingo flowers with the die in the Lovely Flowers Edgelits set.  I popped one on the left end of the sentiment with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.  The others are adhered with Liquid Glue.

I added a few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a sentiment from Forever Lovely in Crumb Cake to a Whisper White panel.  Over top, mimicking the front, I added the heart in stamped-off-twice Flirty Flamingo.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Crumb Cake panel and into my Flirty Flamingo card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a Flirty Flamingo heart from the Forever Lovely set on the front…

…and then I added some more of the All My Love DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Meant to Be and Forever Lovely bundles just go together like peanut butter and jelly!  They work perfectly to complement each other in sentiments and die cuts.  And when the All My Love DSP is added into the mix, it just shines!  Hope you like!

Butterfly Duet and Cake Builder Punches in Not-Orderable Status!

Sales for the Butterfly Duet Punch (item 148523) and the Cake Builder Punch (item 148525) have exceeded our forecast and are continuing strong, depleting supplies and resulting in a significant number of backorders.  As a result, both punches (and their associated bundles) are not available to be ordered.  Due to Chinese New Year, estimated arrival is mid-March. T

Right now, when you enter item numbers for either of these products on an order, you will receive a pop-up notification asking if you would like to be notified via email when they are back in stock. This will allow you to find out immediately when the status changes for these items and they are again available for purchase.

The Butterfly Gala and Piece of Cake stamp sets are both still available on their own!

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Important note: Both of these amazing punches will carry over into the 2019–2020 annual catalog.  Whoo-hoo!

Finn Fan Fix

So – I think the Man missed me this week.

He was up on the sofa with me most of the time that I was on the sofa yesterday.

Just wanting to be by the Mom?

Or….considering the ice cream stick I was still holding in my hand?

Hmmm…

‘Tis a conundrum…

  1. Could be either, but my bet is on the ice cream. Sorry, Mary. Glad your housekeeper is back, for all concerned. Wish I had one.
Your card is very, very lovely. Perfect valentine, dressed up.

Whaaaaa?!?! I’m shocked that you would think such a thing, Julie!! I am SURE it’s cuz of how much he looooooooves me!! Thanks so much! 🙂

  2. What a sweet card! Love the clean design, perfect designer papers too! Yay for the housekeeper being back to work! 😀

  3. My son had a broken knee this past year. They couldn’t operate on it and he has a bone chip that floats around that area so I’m thankful your housekeeper had much better luck…both for her and you! I have never replaced ours but I miss her tremendously. I’m sure she smiles down on me when she sees me trying to clean as good as she did! Finn is such a love! Your card is too. You did a great job with both challenges and that red speaks volumes! Have a great weekend.

Yea – Sonya flat knows I don’t/can’t/won’t clean as good as she does. I know it, too! Thanks much, Karen! 🙂

  4. Susan K

Beautiful card. You used that sketch perfectly. That paper is worth showing off! Sweet Finn, staying near you, for whatever reason.

Thanks so much, Susan! Yes – he’s pretty much always somewhere close by. Which is awfully nice, really! 🙂

  5. Kate

Hmmm…I think a Colorado “vacation” would be very therapeutic for your cleaning lady…just my professional opinion…uh…wish. 😐
And everyone knows Finn has no yen for ice cream OR sticks, so…
Oh, and I like the card too. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

LOL – yes, we all know Finn doesn’t like ice cream or sticks. Said no one ever! Thanks, Mom! 🙂

  6. Beautiful card and nice take on the sketch. I like the dryembossing and the delicate heart die cut the most among all the fabulous items you used in this card. 🙂 Thank you for joining us at CC&S challenge this week.
