Stampin’ Up! Woodland Nature Sings for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!

Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I don’t really do “Happy Holidays” so…it was all about Christmas for me.  So, I pulled out a sweet little set from the Annual Catalog called Nature Sings and added a little embossing with the Woodland TIEF.  Take a look-see:

I started with a panel of DSP from the All Is Bright DSP and ran it thru the Big Shot in my Woodland TIEF.  Then I sponged the raised portions of the trees and branches with Crumb Cake ink.  I just kept adding ink until I was happy with it!  Then, with a non-SU! White Gel Pen, I highlighted the “notches” in the trees.  Finally, I matted the panel on Mossy Meadow with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from Nature Sings in Soft Suede ink on a piece of Very Vanilla, then cut it with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelits die.  Over the sentiment, I added the pine trees in stamped-off-once Mossy Meadow.  Then I flicked the edges of the oval with my Crumb Cake sponge and popped the oval onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a little toned-down bling with a Corrugated Element and True Gentleman Button – attaching them with Glue Dots.  Then I tied a double-loop bow from Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot, too.  Finally, I tied a bow from Cherry Cobbler Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine and stuck it on.

To finish off the card front, I colored a Rhinestone Basic Jewel with my Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend and adhered it to the sentiment oval.

On the inside, I added a Nature Sings sentiment in Soft Suede to another piece of the All Is Bright DSP.  Across the bottom I added pine boughs in Mossy Meadow, stamping the image twice without re-inking.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into my Cherry Cobbler card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more Nature Sings pine boughs in Mossy Meadow across the front…

…and I added more of the All Is Bright DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Nature Sings stamp set is perfect for woodsy Christmas cards – and simply shines when paired up with the Woodland TIEF!  Hope you like!
