Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppy Poinsettia for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a sketch week challenge and I know you’ll see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop.

I might have gotten a little bit jiggy with the sketch, but…squint yer eyes, okay!?  I pulled out the lovely Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set and bundled Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits, borrowed some ideas from the Holiday Catalog and…take a look-see:

And…here’s the sketch!

I started with a piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock and, using the two corner dies from the Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits and cut out all four corners.  Then I used – quite a few!! – Stampin’ Dimensionals (in Regular AND Mini!) to pop that panel onto a Soft Sea Foam mat to create the card front.

I cut a strip of Sparkle Glimmer Paper and used the Banner Triple Punch on both ends, then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On Whisper White card stock, I stamped the pretty Peaceful Poinsettia image twice in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and cut them out with the matching die.  Then I colored them both with my Light and Dark Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.

I popped both images onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Peaceful Poinsettia sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink on Soft Sea Foam and cut it with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelits die.  Then I used Liquid Glue and a couple more Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card front.

I added some gold Metallic Pearls to the centers of my Poinesttias and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Peaceful Poinsettia in Shaded Spruce on a Whisper White panel.  I also added the large flower image in Tuxedo Black and colored it with my Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade and Dark Mango Melody Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Soft Sea Foam mat and into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another large flower on the front…

…and on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Gotta love the Peaceful Poinsettia bundle, huh?  And Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam is a wonderful color combination!  I hope you like!
