Stampin’ Up! Bring on the Bright Presents for Christmas!

Happy happy HAWWWMP day!!  I hope that you’re taking advantage of the Stampin’ Up! World Card Making Day (WEEK!) and stocking up on all the goodies!  And then I hope you’re making cards – and SENDING them! – in celebration!

I pulled out a pretty bundle to play with for today’s card – and it’s just in time for Christmas!  It’s the Bring on the Presents bundle – and I put it atop some All Is Bright DSP!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was rather loosely based on the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge this week!

I started by matting some pretty greenery from the All Is Bright DSP on a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock for the card front.  Then I matted a second design from the pack on another, smaller piece of card stock.

I cut two pieces of “ribbon” using the die in the All The Presents Thinlits (which are available with the Bring On The Presents as a money-saving bundle!).  I cut them from Gold Foil and then adhered them to the smaller matted panel with Liquid Glue.

I trimmed the excess and then adhered the entire panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the big bow twice in Shaded Spruce.  I colored the bows with my Light and Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends.  Then I fussy cut one bow – I didn’t want a white border (like I’d have gotten using the die in the Thinlits) – and fussy cut the middle of the second bow.

I added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the full bow and used them to wind some Gold Metallic Thread in several loops.  Then I popped it over the “ribbons”.

I put some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the smaller middle section that I’d cut out and placed it over the top of the larger bow.

I stamped the tag outline from Bring On The Presents in Shaded Spruce on a piece of Whisper White.  Then I added the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler and cut it with the matching die in the All The Presents Thinlits.  I used some Liquid Glue to adhere the tag – tucked under the bow.

I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the middle of the bow and around on the card front and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the smaller bow image from Bring On The Presents in Shaded Spruce on a Whisper White panel. I also stamped the bow on a sticky note and fussy cut it to create a mask.  I masked off the bow and stamped the ribbon image in Shaded Spruce.  Then I colored the ribbons and bow with the Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends.  Finally, I stamped a second sentiment from Bring On The Presents in Cherry Cobbler.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and then into my Shaded Spruce card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a repeat of the bows and ribbons on the front…

…and then I added some more of the All Is Bright DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Tell me this doesn’t look just like a Christmas present up against the tree!  Nope – that’s what I thought.  You can’t.  Cuz it totally does!  The Bring On The Presents is a wonderful set that will let you make fun and pretty holiday cards throughout the season!  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Sometimes waiting for mom to…jump on the trampoline…make a card…work on a telecom…make dinner (not for you!)…pet the cats…do the laundry…

Well…you get it.

It.  Just.  Gets.   Old.

And really – all a kid can do is just find a spot and rest.

And wait.

Fortunately, there’s a chin-shelf handy all the way around the living room…

Master planning!
