Stampin’ Up! Frights & Delights from September Paper Pumpkin!

Mornin’ y’all!  It’s Friday!  And…it’s Krew Stampin’ Retreat Day!  Whoo-hooo!

I’ll be leaving here soon to head north to Ellijay – Amy and I will grab a little lunch and finalize our oh-so-strict agenda for the weekend.

Mostly we’re just going to eat.  Let’s be honest! 😉

So – for today, I’m sharing the September Paper Pumpkin kit.

I was going to do this one next week – but…Stampin’ Up! made a surprise announcement this morning, saying that this fun set – including FULL KITS!! – will be available starting on Monday – the 24th!  Here’s what they told us:

“Our Frights & Delights September kit was a spectacularly spooky success! Refills (149540) will be available starting September 24 and can be found in the online store. Additionally, due to this kit’s special seasonal appeal, we’ve decided to place the FULL KIT (149671) on sale as a past kit right away (with no typical 3-month delay). Woo-HOO! Full kits will also be available on September 24 and can be found in the online store. Refills and full kits are only available while supplies last to Paper Pumpkin subscribers, so don’t miss out!

THAT is cool news – it’s usually three months before Full kits can be purchased – if at all!  So…I figured I’d show you what all the fuss was about today – you can get signed up for Paper Pumpkin over the weekend and then grab these kits yourself on Monday!  Your’e going to want to hurry…I bet they go fast!

The fun started when I opened the mail box and found the so-spooky-but-not-really special edition box!

When I got it inside and opened it up, I found all the supplies I needed to make TWENTY FOUR sweet little treat bags!  And, as usual, there’s an exclusive stamp set called Frights & Delights, plus a Basic Gray Stampin’ Spot!

I found some perfectly Fall-colored M&M’s to fill the bags – y’all these are White Chocolate Pumpkin Pie.

Are you kidding me?!

So – I put together a few of each of the designs – there are eight each of three different bags in the kit!

So – I filled ’em all up and got to decorating!

I made some sweet little ghosts atop spider-web-strewn bags!

Then I assembled a few uber-scary bats (I added eyes with my White Gel Pen!)…these bags are the orange-stripey ones!

The final design is a sweet little jack-o-lantern on a spider-covered bag!  Eeeeewww!!  Or….should I say….Eeeeeeek!! 😉

The kit has the sentiment stickers – “EEEEK”, “BOO” and “SPOOKY” – plus silver foil embellishments and silver-and-black Baker’s Twine.

So – if you’re already a Paper Pumpkin subscriber – be ready to grab some refills on Monday.   They’ll be in my Online Store right here!

Check out the video below to see the whole wonderful kit!

If you’re not a subscriber, but you’re going to want to get these treat bags – get signed up now and then grab up the full kits on Monday! You can either sign up for a subscription where you’re billed monthly for your kit or you can purchase a prepaid subscription in my online store.  To see more information and to sign up for the monthly subscription, click here.  To see the options for prepaid subscriptions in my online store, click here.

This is a rare opportunity to get full kits and refills so fast, y’all – so I hope you’ll take advantage of it!

Finn Fan Fix

Thursday was a frenzy of…

Me working and packing and gathering up make-and-takes and…generallty getting ready for the retreat.

Wayne – working on taxes.

Finn…well.  Doing Finn stuff.

When it came time to think about dinner, I pulled out my new favorite-est kitchen appliance.

The Mealthy Electric Pressure Cooker!

Like an Instant Pot – but better! Well – to me it is.

We’ve used it a LOT since we got it.  I’ve made Pinto Beans – from DRY! – in about 3 hours.

I’ve cooked spaghetti – dry pasta, sauce, meat and all – right in the pot.  In about 30 minutes total!

Today?  Pot Roast.  In about 2 hours.

Total.  Without turning on the oven!

And it.  Was.  Perfect.

I’m not associated with Mealthy in any way.  But…I can totally say – getcha one!

How is this associated with Finn?

Well – while he was doing his Finn-thing…and I was rushing from craft area to kitchen to garage and back….he…with his dog-protractor…found the exact worst spot.

Do you see how perfectly he’s positioned in the doorway?  Which happens to be the most direct route from where I was to where I needed to be.

All.  Freakin’.  Day!

  1. Such a cute kit! And what?? We’re only eating all weekend?? Ha, not us!! And Finn hardly looks in the way…;)

Look closer – you’ll see the precision placement of all his parts! Thanks! 🙂

  2. Kate

    These little bags are great!!!
Your plan for the week end sounds like good times…enjoy!
Finnster the obstacle. Clara has a similar role, especially if it’s her ‘sunny spot of the moment’. I suppose he really isn’t much interested in the taxes – OR the packing. Now the pot roast might be another matter altogether.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – he was all about the pot roast! Hard not to be with that schnozzle right on the end of his face! 🙂 Thanks, Mom!

  3. Kathy Fennell

Really cute Paper Pumpkin this month! 🙂 Typical child, always under foot! Enjoy your weekend retreat.

Thanks, Kathy! And yes – he’s about as typical a child as a child can get! 🙂
