Stampin’ Up! A Joyous Merry Christmas To All!

Morning y’all!  It’s Sunday – and I’m probably at work by the time you read this – for our last working Sunday!  Almost there.  Just a couple more days and it’s the downhill slide to homeward bound!

My card today is a pretty little Christmas number, using some more Joyous Noel Specialty DSP, the new Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF and a very cool wooden sentiment from the Festive Farmhouse Elements.  On the inside, I added a sentiment and some holly from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set.  Take a look-see:

I started with a panel of Whisper White that I embossed in the new (and oh-so-wondefufl!) Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF (coming on 5 Sept).  I embossed it and then cut it down to size before matting it on Merry Merlot for the card front.

I cut three strips of Joyous Noel Specialty DSP and matted them on Merry Merlot.  Then I added them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I wrapped a piece of new Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8″ Reversible Ribbon around the card front, securing it in the back with a couple of Glue Dots.

For the sentiment, I used one of the new Festive Farmhouse Elements and sponged it with new Bright Copper Shimmer Paint.  I gave it a couple of coats, sort of “pouncing” it to create a “hammered copper” look.  Then I adhered it to the ribbon with Liquid Glue.

I pulled out my Pretty Pines Thinlits and cut some pieces from Shaded Spruce and Vellum card stock.  For the Vellum leaves, I sponged them with the same Bright Copper Shimmer Paint.  Then I adhered all the leaves and boughs under the ribbon with Liquid Glue.

To finish off, I used a short length of the Merry Merlot & Copper ribbon and tied it snugly around the first piece, creating a “faux bow”.

On the inside, I stamped a Merry Christmas To All sentiment in Versamark, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool.  Around the sentiment I added some Shaded Spruce holly from the same set.  I added some tiny dots around the holly leaves with my Merry Merlot Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Merry Merlot mat and then into my Shaded Spruce card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Merry Christmas To All holly in Shaded Spruce, with Merry Merlot dots added for a little interest…

…and then I added a little more Joyous Noel Specialty DSP to the envelope flap (adding some Merry Merlot dots here and there, too).

Et Voila!  How fun are those Festive Farmhouse Elements? Especially colored with Shimmer Paint.  And – the Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF – oh boy!  I love it so much!  I’m also tickled with how nicely the sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All fit so well with the overall look of the card.  I hope you like!
