Stampin’ Up! Best Route Stitched Seasons for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a color challenge, and I hope you’ll check out everyone’s projects when you’re done here!

I decided to use the color palette from the Best Route DSP – it just seemed like the right thing to do!   Take a look-see and you’ll also find the soon-to-be-available Blended Seasons and bundled Stitched Labels Framelits and a little dab of Dandelion Wishes!

And – now you’ll see why I picked the Best Route DSP! 🙂

I started with two complementary papers from the Best Route DSP and matted the larger piece on a panel of Mango Melody card stock.  Then I added the strip of Granite Gray design with Liquid Glue.  Over the seam, I added a length of Granite Gray 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped some flowers from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set – the image was inked with Granite Gray and stamped off once on scrap paper.  Over that, I added the Blended Seasons sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink, then I cut the sentiment with the Stitched Labels Framelits die.  Remember you can buy this new bundle starting on 1 August!

I popped the sentiment over top of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added a few Mango Melody Best Route Enamel Shapes and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added some more Dandelion Wishes flowers in Granite Gray on a Whisper White panel.  The larger flower is stamped off once and the little extra fluffs are each stamped off TWICE.  I gave the larger flowers a Mango Melody Best Route Enamel Shapes center, too.

I used Liquid Glue to mat the panel on Mango Melody and into my Granite Gray card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Granite Gray Dandelion Wishes flowers on the front…

…and some Best Route DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Best Route is perfect for this color palette and I love the sentiment label from the coming-soon Blended Seasons and bundle Stitched Labels Framelits.  And – obviously – Dandelion Wishes is poised to be one of my go-to sets, right?  I hope you like!

SALES TAX HOLIDAYS (US ONLY)

If you love holidays—and don’t love taxes—we have some great news for you! Twelve U.S. states will have sales tax holidays for school supplies over the next several weeks. The dates for each state’s sales tax holiday will vary; the definition of “school supplies” will also vary from state to state. Fortunately, a selection of Stampin’ Up! products qualify as school supplies and will be tax-free during each state’s sales tax holiday period. (Sales tax holidays may not apply to additional county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.) Make sure to take advantage of the savings!

To find out which states are participating—and which products will be tax-free for each state—download this Sales Tax Holiday PDF.

Important Note: Orders must be placed with Stampin’ Up! during the sales tax holiday period to receive these select items tax free; each period begins—and ends—at midnight (MT).

  1. I especially like what you did with the inside. That DSP could grow on me.

      Yes – it’s a fun set of paper – thanks, Karen! 🙂

  2. Great card. Love that Stitched Labels shape and the dandelions! I ALMOST used those same DSP, but tried to think outside the box this time. Those papers are great and I will use them soon.
