Stampin’ Up! Enjoy Life and a Pop of Petals!

Happy HAWWWMP day, y’all!  I hope wherever you are you’re having a super week!  Wayne and I are exploring the Puget Sound and Sequim and Port Angeles and Port Townsend and…. well.  We’re having a wonderful time! 🙂

My card today is a pretty little number that pulled a couple of elements from the Pop of Petals bundle, a sentiment or two from the Enjoy life stamp set and some beautiful Tea Room Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Papercraft Crew Card Sketch.

And the colors were inspired by the Sunday Stamps color challenge.

I started with some Coastal Cabana paper from the Tea Room Specialty DSP and matted it on So Saffron card stock with some Liquid Glue.

The centerpiece is a rectangle of So Saffron, embossed in the Subtle Dynamic TIEF and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I laid a length of Black 1/2″ Satin Ribbon over the top, securing it in place with a couple of Glue Dots.

For the sentiment, I pulled out one of my favorite sets – the new Enjoy life – and used my Stamparatus to stamp it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Whisper White.  The Stamparatus wasn’t to align it – it’s photopolymer – but rather to ensure I’d get a good solid image (and be able to re-stamp if the first one wasn’t great).  Then I cut it out with a square Stitched Shapes Framelits die.

I popped the sentiment over the embossed panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals – making sure to offset it to stay true to the sketch.  And then when I was taking the pictures, just barely managed to keep myself from pulling it off and “fixing” it!  It had been a couple of days since I made the card and I sort of forgot that little detail in the sketch!  I was scolding myself a bit for having “screwed it up so badly!” 🙂

The butterfly, from Pop of Petals, is stamped on a piece of Whisper White in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored it in with my So Saffron and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Markers, then cut it out with the matching Four-Petal Flower Punch.

I popped the butterfly onto the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then lightly drew in some antenna with the Coastal Cabana Marker.  A few Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins finished off the card front.

On the inside, I added a couple more Pop of Petals butterflies to a Whisper White panel, as well as a second Enjoy Life sentiment in Tuxedo Black.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a So Saffron mat and then into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Pop of Petals butterfly on the front…

…and some more of the Tea Room Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

????  What??  You don’t see it?

Yea…I realized after I’d packed up my “photo booth” that I’d not taken a picture of the flap.  But you know me – so you know it’s got that same Coastal Cabana DSP on it, don’t you?

Et Voila!  How fun is it that the Pop of Petals has a butterfly image that works with the Four-Petal Flower Punch?!  Yes, it chops off the antennae but…they’re easily drawn back in!  I also really really love the Tea Room Specialty DSP – all the designs are so soft and gorgeous!  Hope you like!
