Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic Polka Dots for the Stamp Ink Paper #159

Good morning, my peeps!  It’s Tuesday and that means another Stamp Ink Paper challenge for y’all to play with this week!  And – it’s all about Polka Dots!!

I spied a wonderfully colorful polka dot pattern in the new 2017-2019 In Color DSP pack and it seemed like the perfect backdrop to the Tropical Chic suite of goodies!  Take a look-see:

My layout comes from the Fusion sketch this week.

I started with a polka-dot panel of Lemon Lime Twist paper from the 2017-2019 In Color DSP stack and matted it on a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock for the card front.

Next is a strip of Tropical Chic DSP, adhered to the left side with some Liquid Glue.  I covered the seam with a length of pretty Powder Pink 3/8″ Mini Ruffled Ribbon, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the pretty little flower from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Petal Pink, then I cut it out with the matching Tropical Thinlits die.  While I was at the Big Shot, I cut a couple of leaves from Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green card stock.

I stamped the Tropical Chic sentiment in Petal Pink on a strip of Whisper White and snipped a banner into the right end.  Then I edged the banner with my Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere a couple of the leaves to the card front, then added the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The next small leaf was added with Liquid Glue, then I popped the flower on with Dimensionals.  A tiny Silver & Petal Pink Baker’s Twine bow, stuck on with a dab of Liquid Glue, and a Petal Pink Share What You Love Artisan Pearl finished off the card front.

On the inside, I added a second Tropical Chic sentiment in Shaded Spruce to a Whisper White panel.  Over that, I stamped the little flower in Petal Pink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Shaded Spruce card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a couple of Granny Apple Green leaves on the front – I inked once and stamped twice…

…and I added more of the pretty Lemon Lime Twist polka dot paper to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love love love this Tropical Chic suite of goodies – just something about the greens and pinks and fun die cuts that are perfectly perfect!  I hope you like!
