Stampin’ Up! Notes of Kindness Card Kit!

Good morning good morning good morning!!!  GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS?!?

No, silly – it’s not HAWWMP Day!  It’s OFF TO VACAY Day!!

We’re on our way to Seattle – and looking forward to a few days of sight-seeing and trying to get the idea of moving to that area out of my head!

I fear this plan may backfire…. 😉

Anywho…

Next on the agenda is the cruise.  Whoo-hoo!  And I’ve heard tell that the folks who give us all the service that cruises are known for do appreciate a hand-stamped little thank you at the end.  Stampin’ Up! has kindly paid our required gratuity (yes – being an SU! demonstrator is awesome and earning a trip is one heck of a perk…perhaps you’d like to earn a cool trip of your own?) but we can give a little extra at the end to those folks who we think go above and beyond.

Well – it turns out that SU! has ALSO come up with the perfectly perfect All Inclusive Card Kit – called…Notes of Kindness!

So, I whipped out a bunch of these babies and boy are they wonderful!  I have to say – I love all our kits – but I don’t always love them enough to partake in the refill.  This one is NOT one of those.  I’m going to order the refill ASAP – it’s just that cool!  When you buy the kit – you even get an acrylic block.  All you need to add is some adhesive – I recommend Liquid Glue and/or Glue Dots. 🙂

So…the kit comes with a Basic Black Archival ink spot and you can make 20 gorgeous cards (in 4 designs) with just that.  But, you know I have a penchant for doing up the inside of my cards – and my envelopes – so, I also pulled out my Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and Mossy Meadow ink pads and got busy!

All of the envelopes come with a wonderful Blushing Bride striped “liner” already inside…

but…since I already had the additional pads out..

I know – crazy pretty, right?  And fun to make.  The included Copper Baker’s Twine is….ridiculously wonderful!  Hey, Stampin’ Up!  – WE NEED THIS TWINE IN THE CATALOG!!  Seriously.

So – I can’t recommend this kit enough.  Get it now.  Get the refill at the same time.  You won’t be sorry!

Well…I’m off, folks!  Stay tuned for updates from the great Pacific Northwest! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

Sunday was packing day.

Now – you should know.  I’ve packed for a LOT of trips – a LOT.

I’m pretty good at it.  Don’t really even have to think on it much.  Heck – it’s the same stuff every time.

Unless.

You’re going to Seattle/Sequim for a few days and then on an Alaskan cruise with your other half.

And then – all heck breaks loose!

No – that is NOT an episode of Hoarders.

It’s our bedroom as we attempt to resolve the whatdowewearontheexcursionsandwhatdowewearontheship question.  Part of the problem is that I’ve bought clothes for my new skinny self and I sorta want to dress up.  Which means that Wayne sorta HAS to dress up!  Which means – we gotta find/clean/try on dress-y-er-up clothes for him

This is not a trivial task.

The struggle is real.

When the stress began to bubble over, we took a little break and took the Man off to camp.  I actually needed to get that out of the way so I could quit worrying about it.

You can see that Finn was….devastated to be going to camp.  He HATES it there. 😉

Uhm…no.  Not at all true.

He went off to play with nary a backward glance…

Have a good time, Finny Bo-Binny! Love you more than chocolate.

See you in August!

🙂

  1. That kit is so pretty! I need to pull mine out and put it together too, I love those designs! Yep, Finn didn’t even think twice about it…so glad that he ran off without looking back. He’ll have tons of fun while you’re away! 😀

    • stampsnlingers

I’m counting on that, Amy! And was glad he was ready to go! 🙂

  2. That sounds so unreal that you won’t see Finn until August. I’m sure packing is horrendously difficult but your cards were terrifically easy AND pretty. Yes, I am going to order that set to take to NY with me along with the Lots of Happy. I know you will enjoy both of your trips to the utmost. We are buying our clothes up north so I don’t have to struggle with more than one bag. Perry will be in a wheelchair so he can’t assist..even though I know he will try. We’ll just ship the clothes home when we’re done…kinda like your stamp supplies, huh!

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – sounds like the way to do it! Guess we should have thunk of that… have a great trip, you two! And enjoy this kit – it’s awesome! 🙂

  3. Kate

    I need this kit…
Have a wonderful wonderful time!!! Happy landings and bon voyage-s!
Guess you know I love YOU more ‘n anything!

  4. Ellie Peckler

Mary, you are such a treasure. Have a most excellent adventure and I look forward to seeing your pictures! – Ellie

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you so much, Ellie! I’ll be posting them, for sure! 🙂

  5. Wow! The day is finally here! I am sure the actual trip will equal or surpass the anticipation of it! While it hurts a bit when our kids don’t look back when we leave them, at the same time it gladdens our hearts that they won’t be miserable while we are gone.
Love your cards. I am not much of a ‘kit’ person, but I may have to get this one.
If you move to Washington state, I will come visit you!

    • stampsnlingers

I agree – I don’t always like doing a kit – but this was the exception. You should really get it, Julie! Thanks so much – and if I move I’ll have a room for you when you visit! 🙂
