Stampin’ Up! Make a Broadway Bound Birthday Wish!

Happy happy Haawwwmmmp day!!  Hope your week is going well!  I’m getting so close to leaving I’ve started to think maybe I should pack?! 😉

My card today is a festive black and gold number with some Real Red pops of color!  And – I used the perfect bundle – Broadway Bound.  Take a look-see:

I think it’s totally suited for the Celebration theme challenge over at The Paper Players, don’t you?

I started with a piece of the new Broadway Bound Specialty DSP and I matted it on a Real Red panel for the card front.

On a piece of spare Whisper White card stock, I stamped the cute little candle image from the Broadway Birthday set – I inked just the stripes in Real Red and the “wick” in Tuxedo Black (it’s a photopolymer set, so it’s easy to only ink what you need!).  I also stamped a Pineapple Punch “flame”.  Then I cut them both with their matching dies from the bundled Broadway Lights Framelits.

I built the center “stage” by cutting a square of Basic Black with a Stitched Shapes Framelits – then I cut the middle out with a Squares Layering Framelit.  I adhered the frame to a Real Red square with Liquid Glue, then popped the square onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

With Liquid Glue, I adhered the candle onto the card front, then I added the flame with a Mini Dimensional.

I cut out two Whisper White Wish sentiments with the die from Broadway Lights and adhered them together in a stack with Liquid Glue.

The sentiments, from Broadway Birthday, are stamped in Real Red on Pineapple Punch strips, that I edged with my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker.  I adhered the first sentiment right to the frame, then added the stacked die cut sentiment over the top.  Finally, I added the second sentiment with a little more Liquid Glue.

I added a few silver Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins and then…added the true Broadway “sparkle”!  New Red Rhinestones, adhered to look like lights, gave me the final finishing bling and brought the Broadway theme home with a bang!

On the inside, I stamped another Broadway Birthday sentiment in Real Red on a Whisper White panel.  On a scrap piece, I stamped the striped hat in Real Red, then colored the middles with my Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Write Marker.  I cut it with the die in the Broadway Lights Framelits and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Real Red mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got some party hats from Broadway Birthday in Real Red – and I colored the middles in Pineapple Punch and Basic Gray with my Stampin’ Write Markers…

…then I added a little more of the Broadway Bound Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  It’s a party on a card, y’all!  I really love this Broadway Bound Suite with it’s fun images and the awesome Wish sentiment die!  I hope you like!

Folks – although the Broadway Bound Specialty DSP isn’t one of the papers in the Buy-3-Get-1-Free special sale – there are PLENTY of other gorgeous papers to pick from!  And…you’ve still got time to cash in on the Free Stamp Pads Joining Special – but don’t wait too long!!

I love the red bling! Perfect! How happy a card it is! Don’t remember that pic of Finn–cute…we once had a dog that smiled. Scared a delivery man so bad he wouldn’t get out of his truck!

It’s interesting that some folks recognize it as a smile and others are equally convinced he’s Kujo! He DOES look pretty scary in this perfectly-timed pic, does’t he?! Thanks very much, Susan! 🙂
