Stampin’ Up! Stack of Little Elephants Welcome

Happy Hawwmp day!  How goes your week, my peeps??

I have a friend (yes – really!) who is expecting their first child in August.  So – as I practice my welcome-baby cards, I pulled out an adorable new bundle in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog called Little Elephant and paired it up with some Tropical Escape DSP.  Take a look-see:

I drew the colors from the Sunday Stamps challenge this week!

I started by adhering a panel of Tropical Escape DSP to a mat of Granny Apple Green (one of my very favorite new colors!) with Liquid Glue for the card front.  Then I wrapped some Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine a couple of times around the card front, securing it in the back with a couple of Glue Dots.

For the art tag – I cut a piece of Whisper White and, using my 1/2″ Circle Punch and sticking the corners part way into the punch FROM THE BACK – did a reverse corner-round on each corner.

I inked the two elephants from the the Little Elephant set in Granny Apple Green, stamped them off once and then stamped them on a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Then I cut them using the bundled Elephant Builder Punch!

Before laying everything out, I  stamped the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink on a Granny Apple Green strip of card stock and punched the ends with the Banner Triple Punch.  Then I edged it with my Tranquil Tide Stampin’ Write Marker.

I dry-fit all the parts – the sentiment and both elephants – over the Whisper White panel and used that to line up and stamp the little bird from Little Elephant in Tranquil Tide.  Then I put the panel into the new Tufted Dynamic TIEF – wiggling it around so that the bird was inside a diamond….and embossed it in the Big Shot.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut elephants to the Whisper White panel, then popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  With the Elephant Builder Punch, I cut out some ears from Granny Apple Green and popped them on with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added the sentiment banner with some Liquid Glue and a couple of Dimensionals.  I tied a double-length bow from the Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Finally, a Granny Apple Green Glitter Enamel Dot finished off the card front.

On the inside, I added a full-strength Granny Apple Green elephant (complete with Granny Apple Green ears!) and some Tranquil Tide hearts to a Whisper White panel.

I adhered the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Tranquil Tide card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Little Elephant elephant and hearts on the front…I even adhered a little punched-out Granny Apple Green ear!

…and put some more of the Tropical Escape DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Cute cute cute.  The Little Elephant stamp set and bundled Elephant Builder Punch is just flat adorable!  And I love the Tufted Dynamic TIEF – especially for a baby card, don’t you?  Hope you like!
