Stampin’ Up! Tea Room Botanical Bliss for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! This is our second month of the Joint Blog Hop between the Happy Inkin’ Thursday and Happy Stampers Blog Hop ladies!  I hope you really enjoy all the inspiration you can get from our talented folks!

I pulled out another new bundle – the Botanical Bliss stamp set, bundled with the gorgeous Botanical Tags Thinlits – and put it over some Tea Room Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

For each joint hop, we’re planning to have both a sketch and a color scheme to play with.  We can use the sketch or the color scheme or…both!  Here’s what we worked with this week.

I used the sketch – although I sort of up-ended it.  And I used the color scheme – but had to sub Coastal Cabana for Bermuda Bay…

I also played along with The Paper Players challenge! 🙂

I started by embossing a piece of Tea Room Specialty DSP in the wonderful new Subtle Dynamic TIEF, then I matted it on a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock for the card front.  I added a piece of Wood Textures DSP, also matted on Pear Pizzazz.

I wrapped some Linen Thread a few times around the card front, securing it in the back with a couple of Glue Dots.

For the tag, I cut a 2″ wide strip of Crumb Cake card stock.  I placed the pretty Botanical Tags Thinlit die at the top of the strip.  Tip – place the top acrylic cutting pad such that it does NOT cover the bottom (straight) edge of the die.  I did that – and got a perfect cut – with no extra “impressions” where the straight part of the die sits.

I used some Crumb Cake ink and stamped the leaves image from the Botanical Bliss stamp set across the bottom of the tag, then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the bird in Fresh Fig on Whisper White and fussy cut him, then cut some leaves from Pear Pizzazz with the dies in the Botanical Tags Thinlits.  They’re all adhered with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Botanical Bliss sentiment in Coastal Cabana on another piece of the Wooden Textures DSP and cut it with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelits die.  It’s popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and I added a leftover Gold heart Metallic Enamel Shape from my stash.

A few embellishments – a length of new Gold 1/8″ Cord, a True Gentleman Button and a double-loop Billie Moan Bow in Linen Thread – all adhered with Glue Dots – finished it off.

On the inside, I added a second Botanical Bliss sentiment in Coastal Cabana to a Whisper White panel.  Across the bottom are some Crumb Cake leaves.

I matted the panel on Pear Pizzaz and into my Crumb Cake card base with Liquid Glue, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Crumb Cake Botanical Bliss leaves across the front…

…and the envelope flap got more Tea Room Specialty DSP.

Et Voila!  I love love love this Botanical Bliss bundle – the Botanical Tags Thinlits are so beautiful.  I can’t wait to use the rest of them on new projects!  And the Tea Room Specialty DSP is very elegant and…it’s lightweight – so would be perfect for making envelopes!  Hope you like!

Beautiful card Mary. I like the way you use so many pieces from different sets. I love that! I need to expand my designs like that. I tend to just use one set on a card. Great card!
