Stampin’ Up! Artistically Asian There for Me

Happy three-day weekend, my peeps!  Hope you’ve got some fun plans – and that you won’t get washed out.  It’s looking like we’re going to get the “wet” version of Sprummer here in the south!

I was so tickled when I discovered that the Artistically Asian stamp set was carrying over!  It’s got such pretty flower and foliage images, plus wonderful sentiments.  I used some of the new Brights colors and a Stitched Labels Frameltis die to make a clean-and-simple card.  Take a look-see:

My layout hails from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge:

And the colors and other elements of the card are inspired by the inspiration photo at The Card Concept.

I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Using the flower image from Artistically Asian – and my Stamparatus – I stamped three flowers across the panel.  I colored the stamp with my Stampin’ Write Markers – using Poppy Parade, Mango Melody and Melon Mambo for the flowers – and Granny Apple Green for the leaves and stems.  The Stamparatus Hinge-Step let me perfectly space the flowers!

I used the new Detailed Trio Punch to punch all four corners of the panel and adhered it to a Granny Apple Green mat with Liquid Glue.

The sentiment, from Artistically Asian, is stamped in Poppy Parade on Whisper White and cut out with the perfectly perfect label die from the Stitched Labels Framelits (this set is going to be a work-horse, y’all!).

I adhered the sentiment in place with a couple of Glue Dots – then I wrapped Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine thru the ends and around the back a few times.  I secured the ends on the back with some scotch tape.

A double-length bow of the white Baker’s Twine, adhered with a Glue Dot, finished off the card front.

I used my Stamparatus to be sure I’d get a good image on the inside sentiment.  To ink the stamp, I made myself a Poppy Parade Ink spot – using my ink refill (another great reason to have refills for all your ink pads!) and an Uninked Ink Spot.  I punched a 1″ circle of Poppy Parade card stock for a label.

These little spots fit perfectly in my StampNStorage Drawer Cabinet with a Drawer Cabinet Accessory Tray inserted!  Those other little spots are from Paper Pumpkin kits! 🙂

Anywhoo…On the inside, I added another sentiment from Artistically Asian in Poppy Parade to a Whisper White panel using the Stamparatus.  Over the top, I added the flower image in stamped-off-once Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green.  Then I punched the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch.

I adhered the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base with Liquid Glue, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

The front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope got another of the Artistically Asian flowers in Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green on the front…

…then I repeated the flower on the envelope flap in the same colors.

Et Voila!  Artistically Asian is just gorgeous – and I love it!  And – how beautiful are Poppy Parade and Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green?!?  The new colors are simply wonderful – and I’d encourage you to get them all as quick as you can (maybe in one of my Special Bundles!)!!

Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

In a Georgia Srpummer, if it’s not raining it’s HOT!

And if you have a big ole fur coat…AND you’re a really smart Aussie…

…you stand smack in front of the giant barn fan.

I really think this proves dogs are smarter than humans.

HE’S standing VERY STILL in front of the fan – and his MOM is cleaning stalls and setting feed.

Questions?
