Stampin’ Up! Love You Still Petals & More for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!

Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month is Love!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided to use a lovely little stamp set in the 2018 Occasions catalog, called Love You Still, for my sentiment, with some die cuts from the Petals & More Thinlits.  Take a look-see:

Once again, I went to a sketch challenge to help with the layout.  On this one, it was from the Paper Craft Crew!

I started by Fast Fuse-ing a piece of the Painted With Love Specialty DSP on a Melon Mambo mat for the card front.

With the pretty dies from the Petals & More Thinlits – I cut two Calypso Coral decorations – the flowers and the grid-like die cut.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front.

I made a few more Petals & More die cuts of the pretty leaves in Gold Foil and Whisper White – and adhered those as well with Liquid Glue.

My sentiment, from the Love You Still stamp set was stamped in Melon Mambo ink on Whisper White and cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die.

Behind the sentiment is a Gold Foil label cut with the Pretty Label punch.  I cut the label in half vertically and adhered each half to the card front with Liquid Glue – with a small separation between them to make it bigger than it was and look “right” behind the sentiment!

I put several Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the sentiment circle and used them to wind some Gold Metallic Thread, then popped it over the Gold Foil Pretty Label.

My little embellishment is from the Heart Happiness stamp set.  I stamped the flower in Versamark and heat embossed it in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder then fussy cut it.  I colored it with my Light and Dark Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  Then, I adhered it over a little Whisper White heart cut with a die from the Lots to Love Box Framelits and edged with my Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker.

Then I used a Stampin’ Dimensional and some Liquid Glue to adhere it onto the sentiment and the card front was done!

On the inside, I cut the grid-like die from the Petals & More Thinlits at the bottom of a Whisper White panel.  Behind the cut-out, I adhered a small piece of Calypso Coral card stock.  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut back in the space.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Melon Mambo mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a couple more Gold Embossed flowers from the Heart Happiness stamp set on the front…

…and I added more of the heart-strewn Painted With Love Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the Love You Still stamp set and the Painted With Love Specialty DSP!  And don’t even get me started on how gorgeous the die cuts are from the Petals & More Thinlits!  I hope you like! 🙂

  2. Pretty!

  3. Susan K

Love that layering. Those die cuts look like that was their purpose in creation so I need to try it! You are so creative!

  4. Kate

    Very nice!

  5. What was I thinking? A one word comment? DUH! I love your layering and the die cuts on this card. My Petals and more has arrived, so now I need to use it, though without as much creativity as you have shown. Love your card, as always.

    • Oh, come on, now! Your cards are beautiful and I know you’re going to do wonderful things with the Petals & More Thinlits! But – thank you so much for the kind words, Julie!! 🙂

  6. Sandra Warthen

The Painted With Love DSP is gorgeous…as is you card.

  7. Great use of the sketch Mary. Love how you carried on the foil elements from the DSP to your topper. Thanks for playing along with the Paper Craft Crew challenges
