Know what today is?? This is the very last time I’ll say Happy Friday in 2017! Can you even believe that 2017 is practically in the history books? Crazy!
Anywho – I hope you’ve got a fun – and safe! – weekend planned. I’ll be making cards!
My card for today uses a fun new set in the 2018 Occasions catalog – plus a coordinating (and free!) goody from the Sale-A-Bration flyer. It’s the Fruit Basket bundle featuring the Fruit Basket stamp set and bundled Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack. And it’s all built on the Tutti-Frutti Cards and Envelopes – which will be available free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration! Take a look-see:
The grid layout was inspired by the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge:
I started by making a grid with my Simply Scored board. I cut a Whisper White panel to 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ and, starting 1/4″ in on the short side, scored at 1″ intervals. I stopped 1/4″ from all sides. Then I did the same on the long side. And…grid!
I elected to use the de-bossed side for the front of the card – but the embossed side would look cool, too! I stamped the four fruits from the Fruit Basket stamp set. Each fruit is a two-step (I didn’t use the outline images). I used Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist for the strawberry; Daffodil Delight and Garden Green for the pineapple; Real Red and Garden Green for the watermelon; and Lemon Lime Twist and Chocolate Chip for the pear. With my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker, I colored the seeds in the watermelon. Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat.
On a scrap piece of Thick Whisper White card stock, I stamped three more of each image. But on these, I changed up the greens. So…if I used Garden Green on the card front panel, I used Lemon Lime Twist – and vice versa. Then I punched them all out with their little Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack punches. Using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, I popped each punched-out fruit over the matching one on the card front. See?
The sentiment, from the Fruit Basket stamp set, is stamped in Real Red on a strip of Whisper White. I edged the banner with my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker and popped it over the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish it off, I added a Lemon Lime Twist Adhesive Backed Sequin (available in the Tutti Frutti Suite on 3 Jan) to the sentiment, and then stuck on a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.
For the inside, I stamped the little sentiment from Fruit Basket three times in Real Red on a Whisper White panel. Then I added more fruit across the bottom and next to the sentiment.
I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into the Tutti-Frutti Card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals – and the card was done!
My Tutti-Frutti Cards and Envelopes envelope got a few pieces of Fruit Basket fruit across the front…
…and the envelope flap was already decorated for me!
Et Voila! What a cute stamp set, heh? And the matching Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack – the punches cut slightly smaller than the stamped image – meaning they’re super easy to get perfectly perfect! And the sentiments in the Fruit Basket stamp set are versatile and beautiful! Hope you like!
Oh – one more thing. The Tutti-Frutti Cards and Envelopes set will be available as a free product choice with a $50 product purchase during SAB. It’ll give you 16 sets in 4 different colors! Put it on your list – right there with all the summer-y goodies in the Tutti Frutti Suite!

Finn Fan Fix
A friend of mine told me today that I shouldn’t work too hard – cuz Finn wanted to play with sticks.
She was right – so we did!
He doesn’t always make the best stick choices…. 🙂

What a cute card. That Fruit Basket Bundle is on the top of my wish list, I just think it’s so adorable and I love the cards that have been made with it. Looks like Finns sticks are bigger then him. Happy New Year!
Thanks so much, Karen – it’s a great little set! And yes. He frequently picks sticks that would be more suitable for my horses to carry around! 🙂
Sticks are what they are when you find ’em, I reckon. Draggin’s about good as carryin’ to get ’em where ya need ’em to be, eh?
Indeed. Whatever works is his motto! Thanks, Mom! 🙂
Whew!😅 For a minute there I thought I was seeing double – using the different greens makes for a really cool effect! I love this card!! Picking up sticks is important work😂
Yes. If only he’d drop them all in a pile instead of toting them willy nilly hither and yon! Glad I could relieve you of your double-vision worry!! Thanks much, Elisha! 🙂
So cute! Love your little fruits all lined up perfectly. Great design and great colors! Finn and his big sticks…such a typical boy thing to do. 🙂
Right? His eyes are bigger than his jaws – but not bigger than his heart!! 🙂 Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂
I’m still on the fence with that set. Every time I look at the punches that go with it, I think “maybe”. When did you begin using the wood grain background for your photos? I just noticed it and love it. Have a great weekend.
The punches were done so perfectly – they cut a perfect shape every time (it’s the fact that they’re a little smaller than the stamped image that does it!- and that really bumps this up for me! I started with the wood grain a few weeks back – I’d been struggling to find the “right” way to do the photos. I think I got it!! Thanks, Karen! 🙂
