Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We all worked on a sketch challenge this week, so be sure to check out everyone’s project, okay?

Here’s our sketch…

I went back to the Special Reason stamp set and bundled Stylish Stems Framelits and called on the So In Love stamp set to help me make a nice Anniversary Card with a fun shaker element.  Take a look-see:

I also played along with the Casual Friday challenge with my gold touches.

I started with a piece of the pretty Cupcakes & Carousels DSP.  I dry embossed the bottom half of the paper in the Petal Burst TIEF and then SNAILd it to a So Saffron card stock mat.

In the top half of the panel, I used the small splatter image in the Timeless Textures stamp set, and stamped it several time in Bermuda Bay.  Before I stamped the panel each time, I stamped it off three times on scrap paper.  Then I wrapped a piece of Peekaboo Peach 3/8″ Ruched Ribbon around the seam, as well as the two Baker’s Twines in the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit, securing it all in the back with scotch tape.

For the shaker, I first cut a piece of Peekaboo Peach card stock into a square and cut out the pretty Stylish Stems flowers from the center.  Then I added the sentiment from So In Love in Calypso Coral on the bottom.  I stamped a few filigree images from Timeless Textures around the flower and sentiment in stamped-off-twice Calypso Coral ink.  Finally, I flicked the edges of the panel with a Calypso Coral sponge.

For the bottom of the shaker, I stamped the flower from Special Reason in Calypso Coral.  I made a small pile of pretties with some Sprinkles Embellishments and a few from the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit.

The top of the shaker got a piece of Window Sheet adhered to the back with some Liquid Glue.  Then I laid a circle of Foam Adhesive Strips around the edge of the flower cut-out – rubbing the inside edges of the strips with my Embossing Buddy.  That lays some powder over the stickiness – making it so your shaker sprinkles won’t stick.  I also added a few pieces of the foam on the corners of the square to support the card stock.

I carefully laid the top over the pile of pretties on the bottom of the shaker and got it all stuck down.  Then I popped it over the ribbon with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I made a bow from two strands of the Cupcakes & Carousels Baker’s Twine, catching one of the little Very Vanilla tassels from the kit in the bow.  It’s adhered to the shaker with a Glue Dot.  I finished it off with a couple of Gold Metallic Enamel Shapes and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used the flower in the So In Love stamp set, stamping it in stamped-off-once Peekaboo Peach in the middle of a Very Vanilla panel.  Over that I added a second So In Love sentiment in Calypso Coral.

I SNAILd the panel to a So Saffron mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a couple more So In Love flowers in full strength Peekaboo Peach on the front…

…and added more of the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I wasn’t really sure where this card was taking me as I worked thru building it – but I’m really happy with the result.  The addition of the Timeless Textures images to the top of the shaker element made a huge – and positive! – difference in the look of the card!  Hope you like!
