Stampin’ Up! Sealed with Love Bundle….Sneak Peek!

Hey y’all!  It’s Tuesday again!  Only a week and a bit before Thanksgiving!  And then full-tilt into Christmas.  Hard to believe it’s already so close!

Finn’s developed a love-hate relationship with our deer.  He loves to chase them and they hate him.  Or…they act like they hate him.  He’ll give chase if not on the leash, but he gives up pretty quickly.  Scares the you-know-what out of me – I panic and go flying after him in the golf cart and he’s right around a tree.  Laughing at me.

Well, he looks like he’s laughing, anyway.

The deer flip their tails at him, and I think they bound away making it look like they’re going really fast?  But, in truth, they’re in moderate-boing mode.

This morning in our travels, we spent a little time playing with the fire-hose covered bumper.  One of the 2.3 million toys I bought for his entertainment.  He’s got quite a pair of springs for legs!  He was leaping up like 4′ in the air trying to catch the bumper while I swung it for the throw!  Hopefully I can channel that into some Frisbee!

You guys watch for us in the Purina Incredible Dog challenge in a few years!  I’ll be the fat girl trying to keep up with my uber-fast-and-fit incomplete-neck-collar Aussie! 🙂

Now – the card for the day!  You’re going to recognize my color scheme – I used Real Red, Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy again – just like yesterday.  But today’s card is a Valentine’s card.  Or a…I just love you lots card!  And it perfectly showcases the Occasions Catalog bundle called Sealed With Love.  This stamp set, of the same name, and the coordinating Love Notes Framelits are part of the Sending Love Suite of products.

I used some of the pretty Red and White Sending Love DSP Stack to make this card.  Take a look-see:

As you can see, there are a few really cool dies in the Love Notes Framelits.  One that made the fun heart at the center of the card and one that cut the bottom edge off – and made 3-D hearts at the same time!

My design was inspired by the TGIF Challenges sketch – obviously I went portrait!

This one also went along with The Paper Players challenge:

I started the card by using the edgelit die in the Love Notes Framelits set to cut the bottom from a panel of the Sending Love DSP Stack paper. Then I used a combination of SNAIL and Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere the cut panel to my Emerald Envy card stock mat.  I wrapped a length of Real Red 3/4″ Stitched Edge Ribbon around the whole thing and secured it in the back with scotch tape.

My center art panel was inspired by the little 3″ x 3″ note cards we did as make-and-takes at OnStage Local last weekend.

But I changed it up a bit!

I started by cutting out a square with the Stitched Shapes Framelits (I’m a little enamored with them right now – bear with me!  And check out the note about them below – if you haven’t gotten them yet…need to get on that ASAP!) and matting it on a square of Mint Macaron, cut with a Layering Squares Framelits die.  Using the little swoosh/swath image in the Sealed with Love stamp set, I inked up with Mint Macaron, stamped off once on scrap paper, and then stamped it in the middle of my square.

Then I used the heart die from Love Notes to cut a Red Glimmer Paper heart, which I adhered in the middle (right over the swoosh/swath) with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the little sentiment from Sealed with Love in Real Red.  Then I decided I really liked the little arrow – so I cut one from Mint Macaron and carefully threaded it thru the heart – securing both ends to the card with Liquid Glue.

I popped the art square over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and that was it for the card front!

On the inside. I started by stamping the “kiss” from Sealed with Love in Real Red in the center of my Whisper White panel.  Across the bottom, I stamped the little hearts image in Emerald Envy.

I SNAILd the panel to my Emerald Envy mat and into a Mint Macaron card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a repeat of the Emerald Envy hearts from Sealed with Love on the front…

…and then on the envelope flap, I stamped a Real Red kiss and another tiny sentiment (it says “sent with love” if you can’t see it!).

Et Voila!  How cute is this card?  I think it could go to a man or a woman very easily, don’t you?  Hope you like.
