Stampin’ Up! Petals, Paisleys and Suite Seasons!

Good morning!  We’re back to the weekend and the weather in Atlanta is nothing short of spectacular!  We’ve had the A/C off and the windows wide open for about a week now!  No one is burning their leaves yet, I keep forcing Wayne to wait “just one more day” before he starts the yearly burning.  Life is good!

I’ve been a little….distracted…the past couple of days.  Tomorrow is getting closer and I’m not ready.  Except that I am!  I can hardly wait.  Except I’m about half terrified!

Oh – that’s right.  Y’all don’t know what I’m talking about, do you?  LOL.  You will! 🙂

So, my card for today is a sympathy card, of sorts.  It could also be a get well card, I think.  I used some Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP and another sentiment from Suite Seasons.  That’s just the coolest sentiment set – it spans Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Sympathy/Get Well…I hope it sticks around!  Anyway, when I put it all together, here’s what I came up with!  Take a look-see:

For my layout, I kind of loosely used TGIF Challenge #77:

I started by double matting a piece of the Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP on Night of Navy and Mint Macaron card stock panels.  Then, using a second design in the DSP, I double matted a smaller rectangle and SNAILd it to the card front.

Using two lengths of Rich Razzleberry Ribbon from the 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack in the Holiday Catalog, I wrapped them around the whole card front, securing them in the back with scotch tape.

The sentiment, from Suite Seasons, is heat embossed in Copper on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Then I cut it with a Circles Layering Framelits die.  It’s matted on Mint Macaron and a scalloped-edge Night of Navy circle, and then adhered over the ribbon with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.  And that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I simply matted some Very Vanilla on Mint Macaron and Night of Navy.  Then I wrapped another strand of Rich Razzleberry 3/8″ Ribbon around the whole thing.  Simple.  Elegant.  Done!

I SNAILd it into my Rich Razzleberry card base, and SNAILd the card front on as well.  And the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a single piece of Mint Macaron Washi tape from the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape pack…

…and more of the Petals & Paisleys DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love how this card turned out – I think it has multiple uses and could be sent to a man or a woman.  Always something good to have on hand, right?  Hope you like.
