Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Words and One Big Meaning Thank You Cards

Well, here it is again – FRIDAY!  Wow.  It’s weird that I sit at work and the time drags but then I write my posts and my first week in AZ is already in the history books!  I’m most definitely not complaining – I’m already looking forward to the end of the trip!

So, in my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator persona, one thing I can never have too many of is Thank You cards!  When I recently sent my 2016 Occasions Catalog shares out, I included (as I always do!) a Thank You note in each package.  I put together a stack of them, using the Watercolor Thank You stamp and some of the new Sale-a-Bration Perfectly Artistic DSP.  I liked them so much that I decided to make a few more, and share them with you!  Take a look-see:

Thank You Cards 1 - Stamps-N-Lingers

I branched out a little and used a pretty sentiment from One Big Meaning (one of my favorite Annual Catalog sets!), just so you could see how easily you can change the look of these cards.

The Perfectly Artistic DSP (available as a FREE choice in the SAB Catalog) comes in a plethora of colors – for these cards, I chose the Melon Mambo.  I was able to do these 4 cards with one sheet of the DSP.

I set up an assembly line – cutting all my paper and card stock at once.  Here’s the list:

For each card:

  • 1 Piece DSP (4″ x 5 1/4″)
  • 2 Pieces Basic Black Card Stock: (4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″)
  • 1 Piece card stock for the base (Melon Mambo in this case, but you can choose whatever coordinates with your DSP!): 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • 1 Piece Whisper White Card Stock: (4″ x 5 1/4″)

I stamped the fronts (the Perfectly Artistic DSP pieces), using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink with either the Watercolor Thank You or my One Big Meaning sentiment stamp.  I did use my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to ensure the sentiments got in the center of the panels.

Thank You Cards 2 - Stamps-N-Lingers

Then I used the pretty flower image from Watercolor Words to add some life.  I inked the image up with Melon Mambo and stamped off once before stamping the DSP.  On one corner, I then stamped a second time without re-inking.  You can see I used two different flowers, one for each sentiment style!

For the back, I used a panel of Whisper White card stock, and stamped more of the flower image (stamped off once first).

Thank You Cards 3 - Stamps-N-Lingers

That was all the cards needed, stamping-wise.  I SNAILd the DSP card fronts and the Whisper White panels to a Basic Black card stock mat and SNAILd them all onto their Melon Mambo card bases.  Just make sure you get everything going the same way! 🙂

Thank You Cards 1 - Stamps-N-Lingers

I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel to each card – and that was it!

I made coordinating Whisper White Medium envelopes, stamping the Melon Mambo Watercolor Words flowers on each of them (stamping off once first, and then stamping the envelope a second time without re-inking).  No liners, so even quicker and easier envelope-bling-if-ication than usual!

Thank You Cards 4 - Stamps-N-LingersThank You Cards 6 - Stamps-N-Lingers

Et Volia!  4 quick and pretty Thank You note cards.  I like these single-piece cards.  They give you a thinner card for your envelopes, but they’re layered with mats, so they’re elegant and feel substantial!  And they go together lickety-split!

Have at it…Play and mix-and-match with your DSPs – pick quiet designs like this paper – use different sentiments!  Have fun!

See you tomorrow with a cute little chick-card!

Gratitude is too often over-looked. Your notes are a lovely way to express it. I guess those packages of thank you notes in your Christmas stockings all those years made an impression. 😃

  3. Yes, indeed they did! Thanks, Mom!
