Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Giving Thanks! Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
I had some left-over Painted Pumpkin die cut pumpkins on my table when I started working on this thank you card so…I pulled them into the card to add to some Paper Medley Mix-In DSP and…a few sentiments and images from the Thanks & Giving stamp set. Take a look-see:
I used some elements from the Festive Friday Inspo List – I used orange, green and die cuts!
I started by adhering a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of woodgrain paper from the Paper Medley Mix-In DSP – told you I’d use it again today AND that it would look completely different from yesterday!! – to a Mossy Meadow mat for the card front.
Using the next-to-largest crimped-edge Tile Garden die, I cut out a Mossy Meadow square that I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue, tipping it up as a diamond.
Using the next-to-largest dot-dash edged Tile Garden die, I cut out a Basic White square. In the corner, I stamped a Thanks & Giving sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink. Then I stamped the grasses image from the set several times – in full strength and stamped-off-once Pecan Pie ink,.
Then I adhered the square to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a loop-d-loop of Mossy Meadow & Vanilla 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon.
My pumpkins were all made on Basic White cardstock – using just the masks – no stamping of the outlines first. I made two sets – one in Crumb Cake and one set in Crisp Cantaloupe. I used the Painted Pumpkins Decorative Masks 1 – 4, adding more and more color using Small Blending Brushes for each mask.
I cut out all the pumpkins with the Painted Pumpkins die.
Then I adhered them over the ribbon with Liquid Glue (the bottom 3) and Stampin’ Dimensionals (the top 2).
I added five Mossy Meadow Natural Matte Dots (these are some of my fave embellishments – and they’re on the Last Chance list now – boo!! Grab a few packs while you still can!!) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a Thanks & Giving sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on a Basic White panel. Over the top, I stamped the Thanks & Giving wreath in stamped-off-TWICE Pecan Pie ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of a Pecan Pie cardstock, adhered the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the wreath in stamped-off-twice Pecan Pie ink on the front…
…and more of the Paper Medley Mix-In DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! See what I mean about the fun and pretty designs in the Paper Medley Mix-In DSP!? That was exactly what this pack of paper was designed to do – work with many stamp sets, dies and occasions for ALL your projects!! I really like the Thanks & Giving sentiments – the font is very fun – and the pretty images. The Painted Pumpkins mask-only pumpkins are a different look without the stamped outline – I love how they look. Like…no-line watercolor!
