Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all! As you’re reading this post I HOPE I am asleep! I mean – I’m on vacation – on Pacific time IN the Pacific Northwest so…I SHOULD be asleep. Right!? Here’s hoping! Would be the first time EVER but…it could happen! 🏔️ 🌊

I got my May 2026 Sparkling Celebration Paper Pumpkin kit before I left, so…I put it together right quick. It’s super quick and easy and makes really pretty cards, too! Winner Winner! It makes nine great celebration cards that look like fireworks and parties on a summer’s evening!

Everything I needed was right in the box – including the exclusive stamp set and a Misty Moonlight Classic Ink Spot.

In the interest of truth in carding…I DID change out one of the sentiments – the “You’re Invited” sentiment – for one that I could really use – a birthday sentiment from the Rolling Waves set! I mean – y’all KNOW what a party animal I am so I’m sure you’re shocked that I don’t have a lot of call for invitation cards! The beauty of a stamping kit is that you have the option to change out sentiments for ones you need! 🙂

The first one is super apropos as we head into the 250th birthday of our great nation! I suspect there’s going to be LOTS of fireworks displays like are on this fun card!

You can see that the envelopes are already decorated – beautifully, I might add – and they’re different for each card design! BOOM!

So – I just stamped a couple of fireworks on the inside of the card!

The next design is super pretty – with strings of lights – just like my awesome outdoor garden parties that I host every summer! 😎 This is the card that would have been an invitation – but…became a birthday card, instead!

I really love the yellow accents on this one’s envelopes! In keeping with the evening theme, I stamped stars on the inside of the card!

Finally – my fave! I love the arched window and the wood grain on this design! And the paper lanterns are really pretty (on a card)! Note: IRL – these lanterns are often released into the sky. Like balloons they DO come down! And wildlife – particularly birds of prey (owls, etc) – can get into a real pickle with them – on the ground or in flight! 🫤 So…if you DO use them please…just don’t release them, okay? End of PSA. 🥰

The envelope is the bestest on this one – sunset!! And – stars seemed like the way to go here, too!

It wasn’t easy to pick a fave with this one – they’re all wunnermus – and I really like that I was able to tailor the sentiments to what I needed. Tip: don’t be afraid to “shop” your stash if a kit – or a Pumpkin! – comes with a sentiment or two that you don’t really need!!

Finn Fan Fix

Getting more settled! It usually takes a minute for Finn to use his bed (that we bring from home) cuz he’s usually too hot. So – for him to already be relaxed enough to use it – that’s a good sign!

And little bitty is curled up in HER bed – just like in their bedrooms at home!
