Extra, Extra…..Read All About It – FREE Shipping from Stampin’ Up!

There’s a couple of bits of news from Stampin’ Up! that I wanted to share with y’all today (hence the “Extra” edition!). But, before I do that….yesterday, I got home (yes, at some point the hotel becomes “home”!) at the end of an 11 hour day that was at the end of a week of 11 hour days, with an 11 hour day looming before me on Saturday. And, I was tired (who are we foolin’ – I’m STILL tired!). Tired to the bone. Not so much sleepy as simply weary to the depths of my soul (never say I can’t be a Drama Queen!). And, the hard work of this trip is just getting started. Yes, folks – I was teetering on the hairy edge of a serious pity party! And then….I saw this on the table:

This note – while it couldn’t make me less tired – DID pull me back from my PP (that’s Pity Party) and make me smile. Maybe you remember that a few weeks back I showed you some pics of the little “thank you” tags that I’ve been making to go with my daily Housekeeping tip.

Not hard to make. Don’t take a lot of time. But, it’s pretty obvious from the note (and, this is the nicest one I’ve had, but far FAR from the first/only one – I get a lot of them) that it means something to them. And, isn’t that really the point of taking the time and making the effort to create something with our hands and our hearts? To make someone smile? Make them feel important? Such a little thing that is really….huge! It made me stop and think. I love making cards. It’s fun. I like buying fun tools/toys to make cards WITH. But – even more – I like thinking that I’m doing something that makes people happy. Maybe even in the midst of a soul-wearying week.

Just sayin’.
