Stampin’ UP! Lily of the Valley Sneak Peek Birthday for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I just got my pre-order from the new May-Aug 2026 Catalog in my hot little hands yesterday and I pulled out one of the suites I’ve been itching to play with!  It’s the Valley in Bloom Suite – with the Lily of the Valley bundle and gorgeous Valley in Bloom DSP. I used it to make a pretty birthday card.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch!

I started by adhering a gorgeous 3 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the new Valley in Bloom DSP (get this yourself on 5 May!) on a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock.

Then I adhered the matted panel to the front of my Granny Apple Green card base using Liquid Glue.

Using a die in the new Lily of the Valley die set (available 5 May) I cut out a Basic White “grid” and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I used the dies again to cut out two Granny Apple Green Lily of the Valley stems.  Then I cut out 14 Basic White flowers – there’s a die in the set that cuts out 3 at a time so…you do the math! 🙂

Using a Small Blending Brush, I lightly added Pool Party ink to the base of each of the flowers.  Then I used Liquid Glue – or a piece of Stampin’ Dimensional – to adhere the die cut flowers in place on the two die cut stems.

I cut out two large leaves from Garden Green cardstock and adhered them with Liquid Glue,  Then I added the two flowers with Liquid Glue, too.

I tied a bow from two lengths of white Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot.

On a 5/8″ x 3″ strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock, I stamped a Lily of the Valley sentiment in Versamark Ink.  Then I sprinkled it with White Basics WOW Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.

When it was cool, I snipped an angle in the left end and adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added five new Coastal Cabana Shimmering Dots (part of the Suite and also available on 5 May!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped another Lily of the Valley sentiment (I love this sentiment, don’t you?!) in Pretty Peacock ink on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped a Lily of the Valley flower in Granny Apple Green.  I colored the bases of the flowers VERY lightly with a Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Granny Apple Green card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Lily of the Valley flower in Granny Apple Green – with the Pool Party added, too – on the front…

…and more of the Valley in Bloom DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh my – there are so many beautiful papers and bundles in the new catalog – but this Valley in Bloom DSP caught my eye right away!  It’s so bright and Spring-y – I love all the colors – and the printed flowers.  Wowza!!  Add the stamped and die cut flowers from the Lily of the Valley bundle and…you’re going to LOVE this suite as much as I do, I just know it! 🙂
