Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
Our color challenge had me pulling open the cabinet drawer with the Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP so…I just went on with it and used the coordinating Flowering Meadow bundle, too! I used them all to make a pretty thank you card. Take a look-see:

I started by adhering a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP to the front of my Cloud Cover card base using Liquid Glue.
I matted two more pieces of the DSP on Daffodil Delight cardstock and adhered them both to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using the die in the Flowering Meadow set, I cut out one of the two-flower image from a piece of the Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP.
I used more dies to cut out three flowers from Barely Blush Velveteen Assortment Specialty Paper, three leaves from Peaceful Pine Velveteen Assortment Specialty Paper and three flower centers from white Velveteen Assortment Specialty Paper.
I adhered the flower centers to the Barely Blush flowers using Liquid Glue. Then I adhered the leaves and two of the flowers to the card base with Liquid Glue.
I tied a bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot.
On a piece of Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP, I stamped the Flowering Meadow sentiment in Peaceful Pine ink. Then I cut it out with the smallest rectangle Nested Essentials die.
I adhered it over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered the final flower to the sentiment die cut with a little Liquid Glue. Then I added some small Dreamy Flowers and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Flowering Meadow sentiment in Peaceful Pine on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped a stem from Flowering Meadow in Peaceful Pine ink. Then I added the flowers in Barely Blush ink and the flower centers in Berry Burst.
I adhered the panel to the inside of the Cloud Cover card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Flowering Meadow flower on the front…
… and more of the Flowering Meadow Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I have really fallen in love with this Velvet Meadow Specialty DSP (and it should be back in stock around 3 August!) – it’s just so beautiful with the pretty colors and tactile flocking! The coordinating Flowering Meadow bundle is your perfect source for gorgeous stamped and die cut flowers for all your projects!
