Stampin’ UP! Violet Botanical Inked Floret Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I pulled out the big and beautiful Inked Floret stamp and the Botanical Expressions stamp – both from the Online Exclusives – and made a quick and easy card for you!  A little Violet Dreams DSP set the stage.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch!

I started by adhering a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Violet Dreams DSP to the front of my Barely Blush card base using Liquid Glue.

Next, I tore two pieces of Secret Sea Two-tone Cardstock down to about 3 7/8″ x 5″.  Note: when I tore the sheets, I did one with the light side up and tearing towards me and the second with the dark side up and tearing towards me.  That way – the white core was very visible on both pieces!

I adhered the dark panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On the lighter panel, I stamped the large & lovely Inked Floret flower in Secret Sea ink.

I adhered it to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow with two lengths of white Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

On a 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Barely Blush cardstock, I stamped the Botanical Expressions sentiment in Secret Sea ink.  Then I adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added five Cloud Cover Hues of Blues Flowers and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second Botanical Expressions sentiment in Secret Sea ink on a Basic White panel. In the corner I stamped part of the Inked Floret flower – also in Secret Sea.  I added another Cloud Cover Hues of Blues Flower – cuz it’s pretty!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Barely Blush card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Inked Floret image in Secret Sea on the front…

…and more of the Violet Dreams DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Isn’t that Inked Floret stamp beautiful!?  It’s big and bold and oh-so-pretty – and is more than up to doing the lions share of the work on your projects!  Add a smidge of Violet Dreams DSP – or other pretty patterned paper! – and a sentiment – like this one from Botanical Expressions and…you’re ready to mail!

I hope you like!
