Happy Monday, y’all! Some of you may have the day off – if so…enjoy! Just don’t be looking for any mail today! 😎
My card today pulls together the adorable new punch bundle – the Wooly Friends bundle – and some Lovely & Beautiful Specialty DSP – to make a sweet card to send to a friend…just because! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
I did a quick video on how to make this fun card – which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by embossing a 1 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Bubble Bath cardstock in the new All in a Row Embossing Folder. I adhered it to my 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Lovely & Beautiful Specialty DSP with Liquid Glue. Using scissors, I trimmed the excess from the sides.
I adhered the DSP panel – with the embossed strip – onto my Peach Pie mat using Liquid Glue.
I used the fourth-from-largest Everyday Arches die to cut out a Basic White shape. Near the bottom of the shape, I stamped the three-flower image from Wooly Friends in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
I colored the flowers with the Light Fresh Freesia, Dark Bubble Bath and Dark Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends. Using the Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend – I colored the leaves and added some “ground”. I stamped the grass image from Wooly Friends a few times in Soft Sea Foam ink.
I stamped the Wooly Friends sentiment and butterfly in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
I colored the butterfly with the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend and then adhered the shape to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the lamb body, the head and the bow in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I stamped the fill images for the body and the top-knot in Bubble Bath ink and colored the bow with the Light Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend.
Then I used the Wooly Friends Builder Punch to cut out the parts.
I adhered the body to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the head to the body with another Dimensional. I slipped the bow up under the head – adhering it with Liquid Glue.
I added three Petunia Pop Sparkle Dot Essentials and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Wooly Friends flowers and butterfly in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Basic White panel. I colored them with the Stampin’ Blends and stamped the grass in Soft Sea Foam.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Bubble Bath card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the flowers and butterfly on the front…
…and more of the Lovely & Beautiful Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! SO – I suspect this is the first time you’ve seen a pink sheep! Me, too – but..with the Wooly Friends bundle – you can make your sheep ANY color you like! It’s YOUR happy little sheep, after all! And – Bubble Bath pink just works perfectly with the Fresh Freesia Lovely & Beautiful Specialty DSP, doesn’t it?!
