Stampin’ UP! Bauble Blooms Traditions Of Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The colors for our challenge sent me to the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP (soooo pretty!) and I paired it up with the Bauble Blooms bundle to make a quick and easy Christmas card.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s that color challenge we were working with!

And I also worked with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge board! I went down the left side (ornament-red-Christmas sentiment)

I started by adhering a full piece of Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP to the front of an Old Olive card base using Liquid Glue.

Then I cut two more pieces of the DSP down to 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Bauble Blooms sentiment in Secret Sea ink.  Then I cut it our with a Bauble Blooms die.

I also used a die to cut a Gold Foil ornament hanger – which I adhered to the top of the ornament with Liquid Glue.

I adhered a Large Gold Hoop to the card front with Glue Dots.  Tip: scrunch up the Glue Dot and roll it into a sort of long and skinny cigar shape – then it’ll fit on the underside of the hoop without showing! It’s a smidge fiddly – but SO worth it!  I used four Glue Dots on this one. 🙂

I popped the ornament into position using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow from two lengths of black baker’s twine from the Black & White & Gold Baker’s Twine panel and adhered it to the top of the ornament with a Glue Dot.

Finally, I added three Cherry Cobbler Faceted Snowflakes and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped another Bauble Blooms sentiment (these are mix-and-match sentiments so…two separate images in the set) in Secret Sea ink on a Basic White panel.  I added the sweet little bow from the set with Cherry Cobbler ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Old Olive card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Bauble Blooms bow on the front…

…and more of the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Earlier this week I made a pretty Christmas card in NON-traditional colors but this one leans all the way into the colors we associate with the holiday!  That’s due in no small part to the stunning Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP!  And the Bauble Blooms bundle made quick work of the remainder of the elements – I love that you can decide how to put the sentiments together!
