Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Pumpkins Sneak Peek Thanks for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

So – I’ve got another Sneak Peek of a new goody coming on 3 Sept – this is an Online Exclusive.  What’s that!?  You’re shocked that I’m using a NEW product?!? 😂 This is the Beautiful Pumpkins bundle – and I paired it with some Country Woods DSP (NOT a new thing – just a total FAVE!).  Take a look-see!

And here’s our sketch!

I also played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! I went across the middle!

I started by prepping my Basic Beige card base.  I’ve learned something from putting together some of our kits – that decorating the front AND back of a card base is cool!  So…I did!  I stamped the leafy tendrils image from Beautiful Pumpkins (avail 3 Sept) in Basic Beige ink all over the card base.

Next up, I tore the long edges of a piece of dark Country Woods DSP and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I snipped an angle on both ends of a strip of Country Woods DSP and adhered IT to the card front with Liquid Glue, too!

Using the dies in the Beautiful Pumpkins set, I cut out three pumpkins from Country Woods DSP – one large and two small.

I also cut out one large and two small stems from Pecan Pie cardstock.  And – I cut out some leaves and tendrils from new Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper.

I adhered all three pumpkins – and their stems – to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I added the Metallic leaves and tendrils with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The long tendril die cut I cut into two pieces – and adhered them both with Liquid Glue – those are the pieces on the right side of the collage – and below the sentiment.

I tied a simple bow from a piece of Linen Thread and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I inked part of the Beautiful Pumpkins sentiment in Early Espresso and stamped it on a strip of Basic Beige cardstock.  I snipped a banner end and adhered it over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added the final two large leaves – one tucked under the sentiment with Liquid Glue and the second on top of the sentiment with a piece of Stampin’ Dimensional.

I added some Pressed Flower Motifs and the card front was done. Note: I realized when looking at my photos that I only used FOUR embellishments.  Doh!  Don’t be like me – put FIVE on there! 🙂

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Beautiful Pumpkins in Early Espresso ink on a Basic Beige panel.  Over the top, I stamped the tendrils image in Basic Beige ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Basic Beige card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Beautiful Pumpkins tendrils in Basic Beige on the front…

…and more of the Country Woods DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Beautiful Pumpkins is one of the “stand-alone” bundles in the September Online Exclusives release (3 Sept) – meaning it’s not associated with a suite.  It’s got two-step pumpkin images and nice sentiments (in a pretty font) – all ready for your Fall projects.  Find some pretty DSP – Country Woods is ALWAYS a solid option! – and get crafty!
