Hey guys! Happy Happy Hawwwmmp Day! Hope your week is going well!
I have a couple of Admin-y things before we get to the card today. First off – I wanted to remind you that my YouTube Live videos will resume this Thursday at 1pm Eastern – and will continue on our regular schedule! Second – my Zoom the Craftrooms (sort of like “office hours” but…more fun!) will start back in June! So…when you place a $50+ order in June – you’re going to get the links for all the sessions for the month! It’s a lot of fun and I hope you’ll join us!
Finally – a little reminder that if you’re a scrapbooker – or want to give it a go – check out the Stampin’ UP! Virtual Album Retreat! You can start ordering the “Month by Month Album Retreat 2025 kit” – which is your “entry ticket” to this fun three-day virtual event! Get more deets right here!
Okay – that’s it! So…I made a quick card – well….SIXTEEN! cards – using the gorgeous new Florals in Bloom DSP and the Layered Thoughts stamp set! Take a look-see:
Yeah – this is a really basic – classic – layout. One that really REALLY lets a beautiful DSP shine! And it’s super easy – the hardest piece was picking the color combinations. But…I’ve done that FOR you so…easy peasy!
I made four each of four color combinations.
Ready?
To start, I matted a piece of Florals in Bloom DSP on a mat using Liquid Glue. Tip: be SURE to make note of the orientation of the paper’s design when you cut out the 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ panels. 🙂
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the large “Thank” from Layered Thoughts and then added the “you”.
Tip: do a sample stamp with each new color – particularly for the larger image. If you’re getting a bubbly look – use your bone folder to scrape across the top of your ink pad and push the ink DOWN into the pad. I actually did that with ALL the pads that I used on these cards.
I matted the panel – on the same mat color used for the card front – and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I added three embellishments and the card front was done.
On the inside, I went old-school and easy – adhering a narrow strip of the DSP on a Basic White panel. In this case – I used the OTHER side of the DSP – but for all the others – I used the same design as the card front.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
The front of the basic White Medium Envelopes I left…plain. Gasp! But I DID adhere more of the Florals in Bloom DSP to the envelope flap.
Okay – let’s talk color combos, shall we?
Card Base: Darling Duckling
Mats: Granny Apple Green
Inks: Bubble Bath and Strawberry Slush
Embellishments: Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems
Card Base: Peach Pie
Mats: Cloud Cover
Inks: Peach Pie & Summer Splash
Embellishments: Cloud Cover dots from the 2024-2026 Flat Pearls
Card Base: Summer Splash
Mats: Secret Sea
Inks: Summer Splash and Secret Sea
Embellishments: Petunia Pop from the 2024-2026 In Color Resin Dots (Last Chance List)
Card Base: Shy Shamrock
Mats: Petunia Pop
Inks: Bubble Bath and Shy Shamrock
Embellishments: Shy Shamrock from the 2024-2026 In Color Resin Dots (Last Chance List)
Et Voila! Once again – the Layered Thoughts stamp set comes thru – giving these cards a super pretty sentiment. But the real star of the show is the stunning Florals in Bloom DSP! I mean…right?! 🙂
I hope you like!

Right?! We ALL need such a day every once in a while! Thanks, MeMe! 🙂
Such a cute set of cards! Love the clean layering, perfect to make a big stack! And look at little missy…all sassy and smiling with her new hair do!! 🙂
She’s a sassy-pants, all right! LOL! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Aww, Addy Lu is adorable – both before and after.
Thanks, Gerri! 🙂
Fantastic set of cards! And Finn sure does have a pretty sister💞💞💞 I could eat her up without any mustard😂
Yup – she needs no mustard!! LOL! Thanks, Judi! 🙂
So glad to be able to see her face.
She will be cool this summer, not that she is so cool now?!
She’s cool AND cool! ;). Thanks, Mary Katherine! 🙂
Awww, cute!! But, I think I kinda’ like her a little “fluffy”!! But, she is in a different climate now…….more humidity & heat…..so maybe being a little sleeker it will be more tolerable. Hope she is doing well in her new home & her big brother, Finn! Glad to have you back in the saddle…..looking forward to some great ideas with the new catalog.
Thanks, Karen – glad to be back! I don’t know about grooming terriers – so…the groomer and I decided to try this short length – it’ll grow back. And we can decide next time to leave her a little longer!! 🙂
O.M.G! She is adorable.
Yeah – she’s pretty cute! 🙂
Pretty cards, Mary. That DSP is a favorite of mine.
Miss Addy Lu, so adorable! I may have to steal her. 😉
She’s a little noisy – she MIGHT give you away! :). Thanks, Pat – that DSP IS gorgeous! 🙂
Addy Lu is adorable without all the floof! She has a slimply wonderful little face. Maybe Finn will like her more now that he can see her face. Lol
He’s warming up to her but…he hopes we won’t notice!! LOL! Thanks, Susan! 🙂
