Stampin’ Up! Embossed Kintsugi Inspiring Inspirations Thank You Card

Happy Friday, y’all!  Hope your week has been good!  We’ve been having a wonderful time here at Disney – today we’re headed over to Hollywood Studios – going to get us some Star Wars under our belts.  We’re planning on Rise of the Resistance and Star Tours – maybe I’ll even make a lightsaber!  🤔

My card today showcases the Kintsugi Inspirations suite in the new 2025-2026 Annual Catalog.  Kintsugi is “the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the cracks with lacquer, often mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. It literally translates to “golden joinery” or “golden repair”.  Stampin’ Up! did a great job with the Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP and the coordinating Inspiring Imperfections bundle.  There’s even the Joined Together 3D Embossing Folder.  I used it ALL – plus a frame from the Perennial Postage die set!  Take a look-see:

I started by embossing a card-front-sized piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock in the new Joined Together 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I used my Whisper White Ink Pad and scraped it lightly across the raised pattern to pull out all that pretty texture.  This ink dries lighter than it looks – so…I let it dry a bit and then added a few more layers of ink to really highlight it!

Once it was dry, I adhered it to the front of my Misty Moonlight card base using Liquid Glue.

Using the two largest Perennial Postage dies, I cut out a Misty Moonlight frame and adhered it to the card front with Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I placed some Adhesive Sheet pieces on the back of a piece of Brushed Gold Specialty Paper and then cut out a couple of branches – one large and one small – using the dies in the Inspiring Imperfections die set.

I peeled off the backing of the Adhesive Sheets and then adhered the branches to the card front – tucking them under the frame.

On the back of a piece of Petal Pink cardstock, I added more Adhesive Sheet and then cut out two large and one small petal cluster using the Inspiring Imperfections dies.  I adhered them over the gold branches using the Adhesive Sheet.

I tied a bow from two lengths of white Baker’s Twine and adhered it with some Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock, I stamped the Inspiring Imperfections sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white Basics WOW Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.

When it was cool, I cut it out with a square Perennial Postage die, popped it on over the bow – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Inspiring Inspirations sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel.  Next to it I stamped a small spray of flowers from the set in Petal Pink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Misty Moonlight card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small spray of flowers in Petal Pink on the front…

…and a little Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The beautiful Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP and the coordinating Inspiring Imperfections bundle are great ways to bring this ancient Japanese art form to paper crafting!  And the Joined Together 3D Embossing Folder adds just-right texture – and it’s really cool when that texture is highlighted to make it pop! 🙂

So glad everyone has adjusted. It’s hard for us humans, but for pets it must
