Stampin’ Up! A Look at Our Two New Kits – and Some Blog Candy!

Good morning and happy Friday – the LAST Friday of 2024.  Yikes – am I right!?  Can you believe it’s almost 2025? I’m a little gobsmacked by that – the year flew by!!

I recently acquired our two newest kits – and put them BOTH together soon as I got them in hand!  I really like them – and think you will, too!

The first one I put together was one of the Cherry Blossoms Treat Boxes Kits that I got.  Yes – I got TWO of them and….that’s some foreshadowing! 😉

When I opened the kit, I found everything I needed to make twelve really cute treat boxes!   That included a stamp set – and an Early Espresso Classic Ink Spot.

I decided to make all my treat boxes the same – and to use the “sweet baby” sentiment.  Since I’m thinking these would be great baby shower favors – and since I know that the impending tiny human is a boy – I did pull out my Balmy Blue ink pad to stamp the sentiments!  But all the rest of the stamping is in Early Espresso.

Now – in case you’re wondering – the boxes are 2″ x 2″ – with a “straight” height of 1 3/4″.  With the curved top – the height near the center is probably closer to 2″.  So – some candy and/or other little goodies will fit nicely!

I made all the tags and then put just one of the twelve boxes together – and will assemble the remainder when I decide on what to put inside!  The boxes get a little strip of included adhesive and then just fold together!

Once they’re assembled – there’s a pretty Cherry Blossom right on the top!

I think they’re going to be great party or table favors – and, with a different sentiment (“thank you” and “for you” is included) – would make for really pretty teacher or office-mate gifts!

I always like a how-do-I-make-it video so…here ’tis! 🙂

The second kit I assembled is the new Perpetual Beauty Calendar Kit!

First off, I used the Pretty Peacock Classic Ink Spot to stamp the names of the months on the included label stickers.   That’s the only stamping there is – everything else involves adding stickers to pre-printed pages!

With twelve decorated pages – there’s plenty of opportunity to use the pretty foliage stickers in Garden Green, Lost Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Pretty Peacock and gold foil!

There ARE instructions on how to decorate each page but…you could for sure do your own thing!!

I started filling mine in soon as I got it done – some things are every-year-on-the-same-day and some…will be year specific.  So…I filled mine in in PENCIL!

And yep.  There’s a video for this one, too!

What beautiful kits! And they’re so easy to put together! Either – or both! – would be an awesome gift for someone you know.  Or…get them for yourself! 😎

You can head over to the Kits Collection to check out ALL the kits that are currently available – that’s the best way to see EVERYTHING!  But..if you just want to go straight to these new ones…here you go! 😎

And I figured this last week of the year might be a great time to give AWAY a couple of kits!

I’VE GOT BLOG CANDY FOR TWO LUCKY WINNERS!

Finn Fan Fix

Finn did pretty good this Christmas! A new Mr. Moose and a new BIG BONE!

Like any kid, he dove right in!

Did a little experimental moose-shaking and then zeroed in on the big bone – which he needed some help getting open!

What’s with the child-proof bones, Dad?!? Unwrap QUICKER!

He took it right to the Toy Bed. Two paws up, Santa! 🙂

And then he got down and busy! Those big hands aren’t great for unwrapping but they’re PERFECT for holding it DOWN!

Or like a popsicle!!

And then – on the day AFTER Christmas – ANOTHER present arrived!

It’s an OCTOPUS – with crunchy-crinkley stuff in all the legs.  PERFECT for shaking the STINK out of and whacking yourself about the head and shoulders (his FAVORITE thing ever!).

He was more than ready to add Mr. Octopus to his toy pile.

He gave it several GOOD shakes – got to break them in right away, let them know how things are going to go!

Thanks, Santa-Grandma-Kate!

I think my favorite thing about the kits is that when you want to do some crafting but don’t have a lot of time and or space, you can pretty quickly get down to some crafting fun and have quite a bit to show for it when you’re done. Easily taken on vacation or over to a friend’s house without trying to pack up the whole craft room.

Hi Mary, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Kits are great because they have everything you need inside to create the finished product, and you have new stamps to use afterwards. I see Finn enjoyed his Christmas gifts. xoxo

  4. Wanda

I have been a Stampin Up customer for over 20 years and have only purchased kits as gifts! Always inspired by your videos and love your Finn stories.

  5. Sharon Rowland

I like the fact that the kits have everything you need to put them together. Also you can take them with you when you travel. I gave some to my friends for Christmas gifts because they love to make things but they don’t have room for all of the supplies that you need to make certain things.

  6. Brooke A Berger

I like both kits but have no use for either.

  7. Kevin Boyer

What I love most about the kits are that they can be done in a short amount of time and everything is included. Thanks for the chance to win! Happy New Year!

  8. Geann Kollar

I love kits because all the creative work is done for me. Or if I’m in a craft creating mood, I can always throw my spin at it. Whatever I’m in the mood for. P.S. you have the most handsome doggie.
