Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all! Hope your week is going well! I’m getting back in the saddle – slowly! Got a hair cut today and went back to Pilates yesterday! So…baby steps!
My card today is most likely the last Halloween card I’ll do this year so…hope you think it’s fun! I used the Bird’s Eye View set from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog and the Online Exclusive Playful Ghosts set. Take a look-see:
I played along with this week’s Festive Friday Inspo List! I used Black, Orange, Die Cute, Owls, Full Moon, and Bats!
I started by stamping the little bats image from the Playful Ghosts set in Whisper White Ink all over a Basic Black panel. When it was dry, I matted the panel on a Peach Pie mat using Liquid Glue.
I used the largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a Peach Pie circle. Near the bottom, I stamped the branch from the Bird’s Eye View stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I colored it with the Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blend – and then added a little “bark” with the Dark Basic Black Blend.
On the branch, I stamped the owl from Bird’s Eye View in Tuxedo Black. I also stamped him on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
I stamped those bats a few more times around the owl in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
I used Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to color the head and wings of the owl on the Basic White cardstock, and the Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend to color his belly. Then I stamped the glasses in Pumpkin Pie ink – on both images.
Using Paper Snips, I cut out the owl that I’d stamped on the white cardstock. I only cut the body out – not worrying about his legs – or the glasses.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the fussy cut owl to the stamped owl on the Peach Pie circle.
I stamped the Boo! sentiment from Playful Ghosts three times under the branch, in Pumpkin Pie ink, and adhered the circle to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the Playful Ghosts sentiment in Pumpkin Pie on a Basic White panel. I stamped the owl and the bats in Tuxedo Black – and the glasses in Pumpkin Pie. I colored the owl with the Smoky Slate and Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of a Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Playful Ghosts bats on the front…
…and I stamped a little vignette on the envelope flap, too!
Et Voila! I love love love the little Bird’s Eye View stamp set – that owl and the glasses just slay me! And the fun sentiments – and playful ghosts! – in the Playful Ghosts set are just darling! And I love how two – very different! – sets came together to make a fun – and NOT spooky! – Halloween card, don’t you?!

Speaking of Halloween – there was a special box in the mail yesterday!
Finn knew RIGHT AWAY that it was for him!
I hurried to open it (but…was still a LITTLE slow….)
Inside was a BOUNTY of Halloween Cookies from his favorite place – The Hungry Hound!!
He picked a headstone to start with!
He took it right out to the living room to lick – and lick – and lick – and….
