Stampin’ Up! Playful Scenic Ghosts Halloween BOO for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Halloween Fun!  Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I pulled out some Playful Ghosts – popping outta pumpkins – and set them amidst a Scenic Pumpkin Patch on a piece of Splendid Autumn DSP to make my Halloween scene for you!  Take a look-see:

I started by stamping the fun Playful Ghosts ghostie-in-a-pumpkin in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Crushed Curry Splendid Autumn 6″ x 6″ DSP.  I colored the pumpkin with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends – and cut it out with the largest Stylish Shapes circle die.

Playful Scenic Ghosts Halloween BOO for the Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop - Stamps-N-LingersIf you look closely, you’ll see that the ghost is white!  I stamped the image again – in Tuxedo Black – on a piece of the Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty DSP.  When it had dried – and it takes a minute! – I used my Paper Snips to cut out JUST the ghost.  Using Stampin’ Seal – I adhered the vellum ghost to the stamped image on the die cut circle.

I stamped the Playful Ghosts sentiment and the bat image in Gorgeous Grape ink. Using the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend – I added some “ground” under the pumpkin.  NO ONE wants floating pumpkins!!  Not even LINUS!

I used the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a hole from another panel of the Splendid Autumn 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Using the panel – and the hole! – as a guide – I adhered the sentiment circle to the front of my Gorgeous Grape card base using Liquid Glue.

I used the Scenic Pumpkin Patch stamp set to get busy making a scene. 😉

– The large “ground” image is Mossy Meadow ink – stamped right under the hole in the panel.

– The barn is Cajun Craze ink.

– The barn roof is Early Espresso ink.

– Trees in Early Espresso ink.

– All the pumpkin images are Pumpkin Pie ink.

– Stem images are all Mossy Meadow ink.

– Leaves image randomly in Old Olive ink.

– Small “ground” images here and there in Old Olive.

– The Playful Ghosts bat image stamped three more times in Gorgeous Grape ink.

– Then I used a Small Blending Brush to lightly color around the pumpkins in Old Olive ink.

I adhered the completed panel onto the front of the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I made another scene with the Scenic Pumpkin Patch images, and some Old Olive blending – plus more Gorgeous Grape bats from Playful Ghosts!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Scenic Pumpkin Patch and Playful Ghosts images on the front…

…and more of the Splendid Autumn 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  That Playful Ghost popping out of a grinning jack o’ lantern is too darned cute – and the paper piecing using the Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty DSP worked great to make him all white and SUPER scary!! 😉  Scenic Pumpkin Patch is one of my faves – I love the different size pumpkin groups and their matching “tops” – not to mention the rustic barn and bare trees.  Very fun – and both these sets are Online Exclusives (aka “not in a catalog”!).  The Splendid Autumn 6″ x 6″ DSP IS in the new Sept-Dec 2024 Mini Catalog and it. Is. STUNNING!
