Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I pulled out some juicy oranges from the Mediterranean Blooms DSP for our theme – and paired it with the coordinating Citrus Blooms bundle! Take a look-see:

I also pulled some elements from this week’s Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. I went down the left side (Layers, Die Cut, Patterned Paper) – across the bottom (Patterned Paper, Floral, Gems) – and across the diagonal (Layers, Fun Fold, Gens).
I started by adhering a piece of Mediterranean Blooms DSP to a Boho Blue card base using Liquid Glue.
I took another piece of the DSP and adhered it to a tent fold Basic White card base. It wasn’t a full-size card – just 4 1/4″ x 10″ scored and folded at 5″. To the front, using Liquid Glue, I adhered the DSP panel.
I took the large frame die from Citrus Blooms and cut out a shaped card base. I placed the die on the tent card with the TOP of the die just barely off the card base at the fold. Note: this is a different pattern from the one I used for the card – it was just to show how I cut the shaped card. 🙂
In this picture, you can see that the top edge of the die is JUST off the card base – with the fold at the top.
I ran it all thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine and it cut out a tent fold card – in the shape of the frame die – with a piece of Mediterranean Blooms DSP on the front! BOOM!
Using the detailed die in the Citrus Blooms Die set, I cut out the pretty frame from Basic White cardstock, which I adhered to the front of the shaped card with Liquid Glue.
I used the large die in the set to cut out an orange bunch right out of the Mediterranean Blooms DSP and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut a few leaves from Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist – the Citrus Blooms dies has a bunch of cool leaf dies! – and adhered them to the front of the shaped card with Liquid Glue.
I tied a double-loop Linen Thread bow and adhered it to the card front – over the die cut leaves – with a dab of Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a Citrus Blooms sentiment in Pumpkin Pie ink. I matted the sentiment on Boho Blue cardstock and adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some Garden Green Adhesive-backed Transparent Gems and the shaped card front was done.
On the inside of the shaped card, I stamped a second Citrus Blooms sentiment in Pumpkin Pie ink. In the corner, I stamped the small orange bunch in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored it with the Light Peach Pie, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Lemon Lolly and Light & Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends – and the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker (stem).
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the shaped card to the card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Citrus Blooms image on the front…
…and more of the Mediterranean Blooms DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Mediterranean Blooms DSP is not only gorgeous in Navy and White – with pops of fruity colors – but it has the ADDED advantage of having images that you can cut right out with the coordinating Citrus Blooms bundle! Which ALSO has beautiful images and sentiments for all your projects.
