Stampin’ Up! Hearts & Hugs Sneak Peek Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a Theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I’m using another new pretty from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog – it’s the Hearts & Hugs bundle – and it’s one I…didn’t want initially.  But – once I saw the awesome demonstration of it at OnStage – I ordered it right away!  And I used the Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder – part of our Online Exclusives.  Take a look-see:

This is a CASE of a card in the new catalog – it’s a RICH source of inspiration!

And – our theme of SPRING was a great starting point.

I also selected elements from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, too! I went across the middle (pastel colors – CAS – Flowers), on the diagonal (Grass – CAS – FREE) AND down the middle (Yellow – CAS – Pearls).  Yes – I’m THAT girl!

I started by embossing a panel of Daffodil Delight cardstock in the wunnermus Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder. Note: there IS an “up” and a “down” on this folder so…be sure to get your embossing going the right way!

Using the fun arch-of-hearts die in the new Hearts & Hugs die set (which is part of the bundle – and you’ll be able to pick it up on 1 May!) I cut hearts from a smaller Basic White panel.

Using a Blending Brush, I added some Lemon Lolly color beneath the arch.

I used more of the fun dies in the Hearts & Hugs set…

…to cut out some Lemon Lolly flowers (3) and Daffodil Delight hearts (3).  There are multiples of these dies in the set, so it’s quick to get them all cut out.

I also cut the grass die twice – once in Granny Apple Green and once in Garden Green,.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the Garden Green grass to the Basic White panel – then added the Lemon Lolly flowers.  Then I adhered the Granny Apple Green grass – and popped the Daffodil Delight hearts on with little pieces of Stampin’ Dimensional.

I popped the card panel onto the embossed Daffodil Delight panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped a Hearts & Hugs sentiment in Garden Green on a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock and cut it out with the handy label die in the set.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few birds from the Adhesive-backed Dragonflies & Birds and a couple of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second Hearts & Hugs sentiment in Garden Green ink.  Then I added the little three-hearts image in Lemon Lolly.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside the Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Lemon Lolly hearts on the front…

…and some pretty-perfect Daffodil Delight paper from the outgoing Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Seriously – the little animals are darling in the Hearts & Hugs bundle, but the SENTIMENTS are perfect. And the die cut flowers and grass – I LOVE them!!  I haven’t got enough words to tell you how amazing the Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder is, so…just take my non-word for it! 😉

I hope you like!
