Good morning everyone! Welcome to this month’s Fun Folds Blog Hop for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators! We’ve got a talented line-up and…I think you’re going to like what you see! This is a once-a-month hop and…all our cards will be fun folds!! How cool is that?!?
For my card this week – I used some new A Little Latte DSP and the coordinating Latte Love Bundle – Online Exclusives that you’re going to be able to get on 5 March! – on a cool Flip Flop fun fold thank you card. Take a look-see:
I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock that I scored and folded at 4 1/4″. Then, using my Paper Trimmer, I cut the front panel on the diagonal to create the triangular front flap.
I cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock and two 3 3/4″ x 5″ pieces of the A Little Latte DSP into two triangles. I used two pieces so that I could have different designs on the front and on the inside of the triangle flap. 😎 Using Liquid Glue, I matted both DSP triangles on the cardstock triangles. Note: if your DSP has an “up” and a “down” – spend an extra minute making sure that your triangles end up in the right orientation! 😉
I used more Liquid Glue to adhere one of the matted triangles to the outside of the front flap – and the second matted triangle on the inside.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere another piece of the A Little Latte DSP to a Lemon Lolly mat and then onto the inside of the card base.
For the smaller card, I scored and folded a 3″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock at 4 1/4″.
Using Liquid Glue, I matted another design from the A Little Latte DSP on a Pecan Pie mat and then to the front of the small Lemon Lolly card base.
I used the die in the Latte Love set to cut out three lattes from the A Little Latte DSP. I LOVE when you can cut out images right from DSP using dies, don’t you!? 😉
Using Liquid Glue on the back of the little Lemon Lolly card base, I adhered it in the middle of the back panel of the large card base.
Then I used more Liquid Glue to adhere the three die cut latte cups to the front of the small card base – making sure they didn’t interfere with the flaps when opening and closing.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a Latte Love sentiment in Pecan Pie ink. Over the top, I stamped the coffee ring image three times in stamped-off-once Pecan Pie.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pecan Pie mat and into the small card base.
I tied a simple bow with two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it to the front of the small card with Liquid Glue.
I inked just the top portion of the Latte Love sentiment in Pecan Pie ink and stamped it on a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock, I cut it out with the smallest Deckled Rectangle die and then stamped the coffee ring image all over it in stamped-off-once Pecan Pie ink.
Using double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment over the bow. I added three Petal Pink Adhesive-backed Swirl Dots and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Latte Love coffee rings in stamped-off-once Pecan Pie ink on the front…
…and more A Little Latte DSP on the envelop flap.
Et Voila! Flip Flop cards are so much fun – I love the triangular flap! And – decorated with the elixir-of-life…COFFEE!!!…just makes it that much better! Coming soon – on 5 March – the Latte Love bundle, A Little Latte DSP and Adhesive-backed Swirl Dots are the perfect morning pick-me-up for your lucky recipient!
I hope you like!
